We had the pleasure to have our first experience at Limestone Coffee & Tea in Batavia.

GG treated me with a wild rose 🌹 ice coffee white mocha & rose latte. Holy cow 🐮 it was delicious 🤤 I saved 1/2 of my iced coffee for the next day. Her choice was a hot coffee a great choice especially how windy 💨 the day was.

Gisela was right about the atmosphere of the coffee shop. It kinda reminded me like the coffee shop at Jitters in Joliet. However still had a different atmosphere.

Limestone Coffee & Tea also had a cute back section for kids to enjoy their time while parents/adults have their time with their ☕️ coffee/beverage. I appreciate the Limestone Coffee & Tea artwork displayed on their walls.

Noura raved about the cleanliness of their bathrooms. 🚽💯⭐️ I appreciated their creative bathroom sign.

I did feel bad for overstaying our welcome 🙏 but I really appreciated the kindness of the staff informing us they were going to be closed in 5 minutes. We got lost in conversation while enjoying the atmosphere and coffee ☕️.

Thank you Gisela and Noura sharing my first experience at Limestone...

The staff are wonderful and welcoming people. The food and drink are good, although quite overpriced. The main issue I have is with the owner, Joy. She tends to be extremely rude and passive aggressive, and it has gotten to the point where if I see she is working, I will take my business elsewhere. She constantly berates the employees and makes rude comments while trying to maintain a good façade, although everyone can see her true character. I’ve found out that the employees are severely underpaid. While it’s normal for tipped workers to make under minimum wage, it is a legal requirement that their hourly wage + tips equals minimum wage at least. However, as someone who is close friends with multiple employees, I have been told this is not the case at all and the owners pay all of their employees, even managers, very low wages. Make sure you tip your workers if you happen to stop here, because it will make a big difference to them. Im torn between avoiding a business that treats its staff poorly, and wanting to support their lovely employees who...

Great food, great people, amazing smiles. I biked here, covering 30 miles. Ordered a breakfast burrito and was pleasantly surprised with the sweet cantelope who gave the burrito company. The dish was neither heavy nor light. It was a perfect balance of healthy, tasty and filling.

People walking dogs rested outside, with water for the poor dogs. People passing by said hi, and stopped to give pets.

The barista made conversations with the customers. Sometimes conveying regards to X's wife or mom. Clearly, these guys were regulars, if not friends. Felt like out of a movie, like a small town Cafe where friends meet friends and make new friends. Felt like the place you've always wanted to go to.

An amazing Cafe in an amazing town. I could dream of...

Best coffee shop in Batavia! Limestone is located right downtown next the Wilson St. bridge over the Fox River and that means it’s conveniently located right off the bike path. Making this the perfect place to relax after a morning run or ride, which is why I’ve been a regular here on Saturday mornings for over half a decade. It’s the kind of place you can grab and go or - even better - stay a while and enjoy the local artists on the walls and read or write or chat with friends (my favorite is using one of their real mugs, buying their refillable option, and sampling their coffees of the day which always features something new and seasonal). In warmer months, you’ve got to try the sitting area on the back porch with great views of the Fox River.
