Bulldogs Red Hots — Restaurant in Batavia Township

After a day of tests and blood drawn for my pre work of kidney donation surgery, we decided to stop at Panchos Bulldogs to pick up some grub.

I had to get their 2 hot dog combo with a drink. The pickle, tomatoes 🍅 onion and relish was fresh and crunchy. I felt like I had a salad with every bite of my hot dog. The hot dogs were still hot and bread dry after driving back home to eat. The fries were really good and fresh with the perfect amount of salt. It had a mix of soft and crunchy fries. 🍟

I tried their gyro plate and the meat was juicy and chewy. The portions for their gyros were up to par to reflect their prices. 👍🏽The cook did a great job preparing our food quickly despite it being busy, we didn’t have to wait long for our food.

Their ceiling has vibrant artwork that’s displayed all over to show their Batavia community pride and spirit. 📣 There are plenty of tables and chairs in the restaurant where you can admire the scenic view of the outside from their huge display of windows.

First time customer and LAST time customer! Ordered 3 Chicago hot dogs and two cheese fries. Nothing really complicated for the most part, but unfortunately this was not the case. While at the restaurant it looked like they ran out of cheese and the employee was using another cheese cup to scoop it out with her bare hands and scraped the remaining old cheese to attempt to fill up both cheese cups. Not a huge deal, we can live. When we got home, which is literally not even 5 mins away we bit into our hotdogs and they were ice cold. I’m not sure what the case was, but felt like they might have ran out of hotdogs from a previous order and they tried to hurry up and do our order and dropped them in the warm water to warm the outside. Honestly we would’ve been okay waiting for our hot dogs if someone would’ve told us it would be a few mins since they ran out, if that was even the case. I came to this establishment on 07/12/2024. When i walked, all the tvs that should have the menu were turned off. I'm glad i already knew what i wanted. When i approached the cashier, instead of asking "how can i help you" or "what would you like today," as I'm speaking she interrupts me and asked if i ordered a burger over the phone. That's excusable, I get it, no big deal. I ordered the Gyros and fries, and it came out to over $16 dollars! i didn't even order a drink! Gyros and more in West Chicago has a Gyros meal that comes with fries and a drink for only $11 and they give you so much meat that you need 2 pita breads and the meat is nice and thick. The meat was paper thin and had a funky smell to it, and not the nice greek food smell. This was a pungent smell.... For the price and the quality of food that I got, it was definitely not worth it.
