It’s rather a huge disappointment in what I had experienced at Paula’s. I had first taken my clothing there in July. After waiting the 90 days, I never received a call or email regarding my items. I had to reach out to contact Paula in regards to my items and how to proceed with the next steps. When I spoke with Paula, I was so excited to hear that I “did so well!” in selling my items, I couldn’t wait to use Paula’s regularly. When I went to pick up my check, along with my items that did not sell (as originally requested), I brought along additional items to sell since I enjoyed the process and Paula so much. Well, little did I know I would regret that, but it was already too late. When going to collect my check and items, I received my payment for what did sell with no problem, however at the time Paula was unable to locate my items that did not sell. She was very apologetic and said she will continue to take a look around for them and contact me in the next few days if she finds them or not. She told me if she did not find them, she would compensate me for the items. I didn’t think anything of it at the time and understand things happen so I dropped off my additional items and waited for Paula to contact me in the next few days with more information on my missing items. A week had gone by and I didn’t hear from her so I called and there was no answer. I left a voicemail and received no call back. At this point I’m thinking the money is on my account and when I go to pick up my additional items we can get it sorted out. Boy was I wrong.. when I had confronted her about it, she claimed she didn’t have any missing bags and took care of it. She was referencing items I did not even bring her so she clearly didn’t know what she did versus did not give me. I thought all the disorganization was just her spunky personality but turns out it’s reflects onto poor business management and customer service. After many calls and store visits, I did receive a check to compensate for the items of mine that she lost but it was not worth the headache and poor customer service I experienced. Will never be...
Read moreLove the idea of a woman’s consignment when I am way out west, however as a former consignment store owner myself YOU MUST BE CAREFUL regarding sizing. DO NOT sell items without ORIGINAL tags. Or disclose it PERIOD. My bad for not specifically asking before paying via Venmo. I then made the very long ride to retrieve adorable jumpsuit. I decided to try it on and after a 40 lb weight loss this year- I KNOW MY SIZE. It would not zip. The clerk refused to consider a return or exchange so I contacted Paula. This started a non stop being rude too and me having to travel back to return. I had my super skinny daughter in law try it on and she’s a small at biggest. The “medium” would not zip her either. I had a seamstress measure it and she said its likely a small. Perhaps it had been altered too? Yes a risk you take with used clothing. But just TELL the customer. Our best guess is medium etc. Then I had to continue to beg for my money back- despite being promised it the next day. I was told they went out of their way for me- seriously? Then when I returned it back to store, I left behind something expensive (lol- can you believe it) and no one would answer my calls or texts to check. Another ride back where luckily I was able to retrieve it before it got sold. My suspicion is that many of these resale boutiques actually sell much on Ebay Mercari and Poshmark and the ones that are duds end up in the shops for customers to get potentially duped on. This was a VERY nice brand, but without a real size- that’s tough. And I did not really want to post a negative review but all a customer really wants is “I am sorry, can we try and fix this”? And do it without making them feel bad, when it is NOT their mistake. Woah is me, etc. This is from a person who TRULY does understand...
Read moreI had so much fun shopping with Paula! I loved her personal styling service. It is like shopping with your best friend, but better because she is an expert on clothes, styles, trends. She knows what would look good on you and can give you great advice! I told Paula what I typically wear, and she gave me a little nudge to try new things that I might not typically consider. She explained what looks good together so I can mix and match clothes in ways I didn’t think of before. Her service by talking on FaceTime to learn my style and recommend items to me was so enjoyable! Paula’s wonderful way of listening to me and suggesting items for me, while we were chitchatting and laughing, made it feel like hanging out with my bestie. Her delightful personality is so fun to work with. The clothes she recommended we’re beautiful and exactly what I was looking for. She knows quality and has amazing prices. Plus, she delivered it to my door the very next day! Nothing could be easier or more fun!!! This is the BEST way to build...
