Oh, you absolutely must experience the Beaufort, NC haunted walking ghost tour with the captivating Mary Reed! From the moment our group gathered, a palpable sense of anticipation filled the air, and Mary masterfully wove together historical facts with truly enthralling tales of the spectral residents of this charming town.
The evening unfolded like a beautifully crafted storybook, each stop revealing a new layer of Beaufort's rich, and sometimes eerie, past. Mary's passion for the town's history shone through in every anecdote, bringing to life the stories of pirates, prominent figures, and the lingering spirits that are said to still roam the streets. Her storytelling was not just informative; it was genuinely spellbinding. She has a knack for creating an atmosphere that is both delightfully spooky and deeply engaging.
What made the tour so exceptional was Mary's ability to connect yesteryear to today. She fostered a sense of shared experience, and her warm and approachable demeanor made everyone feel comfortable, even as the ghostly narratives sent delightful shivers down our spines.

Read moreBeaufort is a very storied town and with that comes a lot of lovely ghost tales! This is a great way to hear them! Even my hardcore skeptic dad had a wonderful time walking the streets and getting to hear all the haunting tales of history! Our guide, “Anne Bonny” was very charming and knowledgeable! She did an amazing job of keeping the group safe, entertained, and invested while walking the busy streets, no easy feat to be sure! While not under the control of the tour a stand out moment would be standing, at sunset, on the divide between new and old Beaufort and having a dolphin, I kid you not, leap out of the water at the exact right moment during the story of Porpoise Sal. And while we didn’t partake, the escape rooms seem insanely cool, too! The man behind them seemed to love what he does and I hear they’re building a new room soon! In closing: I would recommend the Beaufort Ghost Walk for all ages and all levels of belief in the supernatural! If you like ghosts, pirates, folklore or history, or even just the name “Beaufort Ghost Walk” intrigues you I would book one as soon...
Read moreWhat a fantastic experience. I’ve been coming down to this area since I was a young lad, and have always wanted to do this. We finally decided to book this while family was over from England, and it was perfect. We were supposed to have Zelda as our guide, but she was “overtaken” by Ann, the pirate! Man, she knew everything there is to know about all the ones who’ve stayed around. All of her stories were so captivating, descriptive, and engaging. She also made it just jovial enough not to frighten the little ones. She continued to go through the history of this amazing little coastal town, and all about its longest tenured residents for the complete 1.5hr tour, and even went over time, and talked more about everything with the questions I asked. Once we got done with our tour, and Zelda was brought back to us, our British family was sorta surprised she had a southern accent. My brother-in-law even said there was about 5 min where he couldn’t tell if she was really British or not… Fantastic job Beaufort Ghost Walk, and Zelda/Ann in particular! We look forward to...
