Hot Head’s juicy burritos taste great, I have always been able to eat their $7+ burritos all at once and often still feel hungry. The burritos have a funny after taste and feeling, so I probably should not eat more than one at once anyway.
A Hot Head manager refused my “free stuff card” complete with 12 stickers on it. He claimed Hot Head has a new rewards program and therefore my card expired last month, which is not written anywhere. He talked to me as if I do not go there enough to keep in the loop with these things. I went there enough to have filled up and used several “free stuff cards.” I made contact twice through the Hot Head corporate website about this issue. They said they would likely get back to me within two business days; it has been [edit: months] and I still have not heard back. If they refuse to honor a deal they advertise, just walk away so Hot Head pays for the wasted meal. Don't waste your money rewarding a persistent fraud.
Reality is I have been going to El Toro. El Toro’s chicken Monster Burrito costs $11; it is bigger and better quality, and includes guacamole as part of the cost (it is $1 more at Hot Head). I often can’t eat the Monster Burrito all at once (unlike Hot Head), and I can then enjoy the rest for lunch the next day! El Toro’s cheese sauce is amazing and they have FREE fresh chips and salsa (also unlike Hot Head). El Toro’s service is very fast for a sit down restaurant. Just do not order anything cheap with a number in front of it, as the quality...
Read moreI've eaten at this Hot Head quite a lot, since it's very close to where I live. Normally, when I got in person, the service I get it good, and the food is good, but I can't say I would recommend ordering through Door Dash. I ordered double meat (an extra $3.30 charge!) and extra cheese, and got the same amount of meat I would get without having ordered double, and so little cheese that for a while I thought there wasn't any cheese at all. I also thought they didn't put either of the salsas I ordered on there, but when I got to the other end of the burrito I discovered maybe 6 pieces of corn, and what seemed like a couple drips of the verde salsa. Normally when I get burritos here, the salsa ends up leaking out (which I like), but this burrito was so dry it was almost hard to eat at times. Lastly, I ordered it toasted, and it definitely wasn't. I could tell when I picked the bag up that the burrito was easily the smallest I've ever gotten from a Hot Head (did I mention I also asked for it to be double tortilla wrapped? And still ridiculously tiny. Like, not that much bigger than a Taco Bell burrito), and when I finished eating it I was still very hungry and ended up having to go get more food. Overall, I still like this store, and unless I start having more bad experiences I'll probably continue to eat here, but if I ever want to get another burrito delivered, it'll be from the Chipotle right...
Read moreI love Hot Head Burrito. I went to this location for years. But, I am a dissapointed with how professionalism seems to be a thing of the past these days in restaurants. Things really went Downhill when Sarah, a former manager, worked there. I'm not saying her leaving contributed to things going downhill, I am just providing this as a time frame. The employees look gross, sloppy facial hair, and visible dirt I the skin. There is an employee there now that literally wipes his nose constantly with the side of his glove. Major turn off. I thought maybe he was sick, but he does it every time I go there. I think I am done going now, I've been turned off successfully.
Don't be afraid to enforce professionalism. I think managers are just doing the bare minimum these days. You're allowed, by law, to tell your employees to keep their beards trimmed and tidy. Also shouldn't they be wearing a beard net? You're allowed to tell your employees when they look dirty. I know it's hard, but If you care about the quality of your appearance, you'll think of things like this. And give a seminar on cleanliness and being sanitary. Stop wiping your nose with the hands you're making my food with, especially when it's food that isn't cooked anymore, which would kill bacteria.
Those are...
