So, this is for the most part, your average Starbucks. Not a super friendly staff, but they've never been downright rude while taking my order or making my drink. However, if you need to get late night studying done there, you might as well plan on leaving a half an hour before they close. My husband and I frequent this store later in the evening to get studying done, and have always felt pushed out the door as they sweep and mop around our feet, and always get a verbal reminder that they are closing 5 minutes before they do. Tonight was even worse. We were both nose deep in text books, well aware of time when the manager came around 15 minutes before closing to tell us they were closing soon. Four minutes later, another male employee literally knocked on the table to get our attention to tell us they were closing in 10 minutes, and proceeded to walk around interrupt conversations to make sure we all knew they were closing and not welcome to stay a minute after 11:00. At that point we decided we wouldn't leave a minute before closing to make a point. So at 10:59 the door was locked, and the woman literally stood there waiting for us to leave so she could unlock it for us, and relock as soon as we walked out. As a business manager myself, I would never make my customers feel so unwelcome. We will probably be finding an alternative to...
Read moreHad a terrible experience on Sunday November 3rd at 6 p.m. Mobile ordered 2 iced pumpkin spice lattes (my everyday order) and once I came in to get my order the iced lattes looked almost white and tasted like milky water. I kindly asked the lady working the front if she could remake them because of how they looked and tasted (very obvious they were made wrong) and instead of kindly responding or even smiling at all, gives me a death glare and rudely tries to get me to take the milky ones saying it's how they are supposed to taste. Then I STILL kindly asked her to remake them because they are my every day order and I KNOW what they taste like (aka NOT LIKE STRAIGHT MILK). She rudely takes the cups back and rolls her eyes the entire time of remaking them. Then when giving the newly made drinks back she snarks back with "hope these taste better" (trust me not in a kind way either, very snarky) the newly made ones taste at least like coffee instead of milk (proving she made them wrong the first time), but not even close still to an iced pumpkin spice latte though. Didn't ask her to remake it again because of the attitude I got the first time. I believe this worker needs to be retrained not only on how to make drinks, but how to work in customer service and gove a better attitude. Very...
Read moreThis Starbucks is special. They've put a lot of thought into this location's ambiance and decor. It feels more minimalist than your typical Starbucks, with a pleasant touch of local theming. It is near to the local military base, and a state school both of name "Wright" and it plays off the history with a few propellors aptly decorating a wall. A blackboard on another gave some history of the school, and the base, and suggested a visit to the nearby National Museum of the United States Air Force – I presume, given that this is a blackboard, the information shared changes periodically, but this was a local plus. The building is more open than most Starbucks, and the large glass windows allow for a lot of light during the day. A plus for atmosphere, though it may make computer work a touch more glaringly difficult, depending on seating arrangements.
As for the establishment itself, I may only lament that it is still a Starbucks. With that, all that entails. As far as Starbucks go, however, this Starbucks is special. I...
