Okay, critique but also praise. VICKI- please pay attention to critique below. But first, praise. Glazed Donut Eatery does their donuts right. The yeast rings are full and fluffy without compromising body and flavor. The apple fritters- excellent, the way they should be. Icing on double chocolate is perfect. Y’all just make some dang good donuts. A really good donut still looks good sitting under the glass hours later. Your glazed were a little rough today after 1pm in that regard, but the flavor is there and you usually hit this point well. And you have apple fritters available all day, plus you actually have chocolate icing ring yeast donuts! Bills doesn’t even offer these and sells out of their fritters a few hours after they make them, so unless you’re the really early bird, you don’t get them. Which is why Bills, who essentially doesn’t serve those two most iconic of donuts, only gets 3 stars. You guys get 4. Imma donut snob, granted. Guilty as charged. But you lose a star due to very low hanging fruit you ought to be able to fix. The CRITIQUE: VICKI, you’re the woman in charge so I’m directing this at you. Your chocolate icing on your yeast rings. Actually all the icing on your yeast, but the chocolate yeast rings are my all time favorite so let’s focus there. That chocolate icing….IS A COMPLETE SLOPPY MESS! Icing shouldn’t be wet and messy covering everything they touch. There should be a firm matte finish that doesn’t stick to literally everything when you touch them. Seriously, I’m a grown ass man and I feel like a fat messy 5 year old after eating these things. The chocolate on your chocolate cake donuts? On point. I’ll put pictures below. So you have the capacity. Why is the icing on the yeast rings wet? This affects the mouth feel and flavor too. Donuts and icing ain’t rocket science. I can do this at home. And I know you can do it because one of the best chocolate yeast rings I’ve ever had was from your Xenia store once- but even they usually get this chocolate icing wrong. Why? Whyyyy? You should get this right EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. At EVERY. SINGLE. STORE. I get very happy when I find a good donut shop, a feeling I had the first time I had your donuts. You have no idea how many donut shops think that actual apple chunks in an apple fritter are optional. You got this point down well. Your donuts are great. You hit all the points. But to be given this wet chocolate mess on my favorite, and perhaps most iconic, of donuts, is a turd in the punch bowl. PLEASE get this right. This is a point MOST OTHER lesser donut shops get right. I WANT to give you 5 stars. I’m rooting for you. I’m happy you’re in town. But I’m not gonna smile and nod and tell you everything is great like most people do in reviews, when you know it ain’t. Check my history on here. I tell it like it is. If You get this right, i’ll even wear T-shirts you sell. If you ever do. I’ll be the happy fat kid around town to advertise for you. But please get that chocolate icing correct! Thank you and cheers! REVISIT: Went to the Beavercreek store and the icing was perfect. Thank you!

I love trying small business donut shops and diners. I stopped here to see if there were any custom donuts that stand out in the area (9am on a monday). I got a dozen donuts and a large cinnamon roll. They looked great. The price was steep ($31 total). I will always try the product before complaining about price. When I got home, we dug right in. My first try was the custard long john with chocolate icing. The chocolate icing was legit (not the flavorless icing usually found in most shops). It had a rich chocolate flavor that mixed well with the custard which the donut had much more than usually found in filled donuts in the area. The dough itself was bland, and lacked any signature flavor. I would say the maker relied heavily on the icing and filling to offset this. The dough and look was indiscernible from any large batch donut found in any large chain. The next donut I tried was the chocolate glazed chocolate donut. I'm not sure if it was devil's food as none of the donuts were really labeled in the showcase. The icing again, good to go. The chocolate donut was on the drier side with a crisp crust on the outside. If you like really moist chocolate donuts, this isn't for you. If you pair it with hot coffee, it's a good combination. I took bites from a few other donuts and saw similiar results. To summarize, it's a decent donut shop that has great qualities but, could look a little more into a better dough construct. They're on the right path, but a little improvement is needed to push the product to the price base. I will likely wait for future reviews to note dough changes or price drops before trying again. Yes, Beavercreek store. What was labeled as a cinnamon roll with maple frosting and nuts. Roughly 5 inches round.

I always love seeing small businesses come to this area. I went around 10:50 and they still had plenty of donuts. I got 12 donut holes for $6.00, which is a great deal for the size they are! Definitely great for the office as well!

Stopped in this morning to grab donuts for my husband‘s birthday. When I walked in, the woman behind the counter did not greet me and was sitting behind the counter on her phone. Even when I said good morning to her, I did not get a response. I was hoping to get donut holes, but was informed that there were no donut holes that morning, which was disappointing. When I placed my order for two dozen donuts, her response was “wow I was not expecting that like at all.” Overall, it was a disappointing experience as far as service goes, and I’m not sure that I’ll be returning to...
