I traveled from Oregon to the Bellevue David Yurman store to exchange a graduation gift bracelet from my grandmother. Everything was fine & I had already picked out the bracelets I wanted to exchange for, and the associate helping me was kind and helpful.
But at checkout, the store manager, Judy, suddenly claimed the original bracelet showed signs of wear. I had only tried it on once as this was a gift & didn’t fit the way I expected and returned it in the original box and packaging. While she didn’t directly accuse me, she clearly implied I had worn it, which was both embarrassing and frustrating. Especially as a young customer who was genuinely excited to be there.
I have a few pieces from the brand and have always admired David Yurman, but this experience was really disappointing. I told him I was in a huge rush, and instead of handing me my online order, he gave me a lecture about purchasing directly from the store and how I shouldn’t have purchased online because that means that the store won’t get any sales and how I did my order incorrectly. He asked to see my ID multiple times before handing me my order, and made me try my bracelet on before leaving even though I explained to him that I had purchased from David Yurman before and that I know my sizing and what suits me. Read moreI had a great experience at David Yurman! I originally came in to exchange a piece I had ordered in the wrong size, and honestly, I wish I had just come in person to begin with. The in-store experience was wonderful—inviting, relaxed, and elevated.
The sales associates were incredibly helpful, showing me multiple options that could be great for stacking in the future. I was encouraged to try on a few pieces, and even got to enjoy a little whiskey while browsing.
