I got the Little Pig pizza here, which is apparently their best-seller. It comes with Filipino pork belly, pork sausage, and a few other toppings The design of this pizza is interesting as it's rectangular and narrow. This means that the only way to really eat this is with a fork & knife, which I've done before but not with pizzas this deep. The plastic fork & knife provided are not very good at this
As mentioned, the pizza is a few inches deep, which I liked. Another nice part is the edges around the outside are charred well and provide a nice wall-like function for the rest of the pizza, being quite crunchy in the process. The overall thing is very oily, especially around the bottom The cheese was one of the highlights here - it kept its depth along with the rest of the pizza, and was pretty strong throughout & well melted. The extra parmesan on top was pretty unnecessary, though.
Unfortunately, the meats here were barely noticeable. Pork belly is supposed to be a fatty, flavorful cut of meat, yet it felt bland and boring on this pizza. There wasn't even much of it - as large swaths of the pizza were missing any kind of meat whatsoever. No part of the toppings stood out at all - making this mostly just the cheese
Also, they don't give you a cup of water here, which means I had to buy a bottle from the vending machine. Pretty annoying
For the price of around $20 with the pizza + water, this is quite expensive. The lunch pizza that I got was decently sized, but I don't think I could justify this.
Overall, it's a relatively unique pizza, but disappointing with its...
Read moreMr. Pig is so good!! Expensive though! -
Is it expensive pizza? Yes! Is it worth to try once? Also yes! We ordered takeout and our friends picked it up, so I'm not entirely sure how crazy it is. We placed an order to be picked up at 6pm, but I am not sure if it's ready to be picked up at 6pm or not. I think most people wait there for at least 15 minutes even if you placed an order in advance.
The personal pizza is a good for just one person, and no it's not meant for two people. Ideally you'd order one per person. We got the crab one and Mr. Pig because I've never tried a crab pizza before and Mr. Pig was the most popular pizza from all the reviews that I read.
The crab pizza was a bit overwhelming because of the lime juice. I found it quite sour, and it made no impression for me other than the fact that there's tons of crab meat and it's sour. I don't recommend that one.
Mr. Pig, on the other hand, was excellent. The two sauces (or 3?) were perfectly balanced and it's interesting. I really enjoyed it, and I can realize why people rave about it now.
Despite how much I enjoyed Mr. Pig, the pricing is sort of crazy for us since we can easily make pizza at home, or get a frozen one to bake for like $6 or less. It's good to try, but I doubt I will...
Read moreI've wanted to try MOTO Pizza for a long time because I love Detroit style pizza. Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience because of the pizza itself, which I will get too. The service was average because you order from a tablet and have limited interaction with any staff. The interaction I did have with staff was nice. As for the pizza, it was typical in size, the breading was marginal, and the topics are what killed me. There was so much grease on the top of the pizza that when it mixed with the ice cold sauces it made the grease congeal/curdle. My personal taste is I didn't like cold sauces on hot pizza, although some might be fine with that combination. I don't wish any bad for MOTO, what I initially chose just wasn't for me. I do believe if the sauces would have been warm and there wasn't as much grease I would have given a better review. With that being said I am going to try MOTO one more time and instead of having the MR. PIG, I am going to try their CHEES or PLANT pizza and their Garlic Bread and will amend the review if those...
