Im going into the marines and needed the very light, almost blond hair. Colored back to my dark brown. The owner of the salon didnt even try to match the color and pushed an organic dye as my best option. He didnt use a brush to evenly cover all the hairs, just slapped it on and poured the rest in the bowl over my head. When washing, he literally sandwiched my hair in the towel and used a scrubbing motion to dry it as if that won't cause my thin hair to break. He tried pushing purses on me saying hell give me a good deal as if ill need a purse in the marine corp. When combing my hair he was really rough and hurt my scalp, even when i asked him to be more gentle he kept doing it. Day of, in the chair, i couldnt see that the coverage was poor, but later that day i could still see blond in the front because he never tried to cover my front hairs. Now two days later and the brown he put in my hair is so many shade lighter than my natural dark brown that i have to have a real professional redo my hair so im within marine hair standards. I was here for work (I'm not from here) and needed a haircut, so I looked up reviews and I would come back here IN A HEARTBEAT! Ti was absolutely amazing!!! He's truly an artist of hair! (And I'm REEEEEALLLYY picky about my hair, so I don't say this about everyone.) He is very creative and has visions of what to do with your hair, but he will also work with you if you want something specific. (But he'll definitely play and take you out of your comfort zone if that's what you're looking for, too!) If I lived here, I would definitely make him my regular stylist, and truly wish I could send everyone to him because that's how much I love my new cut and style! And if I'm here again and need some hair work, I'll definitely be coming back here! In addition to the hair, everyone at the salon/spa was SOOOO friendly! And it was fun to converse with all of them! I got the gel manicure, one of the few places that offers this service. I also haven’t done anything to my hair in years, I’m super low maintenance so when I heard they offered the Japanese straight perm, which I’ve always wanted to try, and only seen on YouTube! So I was super excited to get this done. I have to say it was well worth the price. My hair hasn’t felt this soft and smooth in years!! Best part I wake up like this everyday without having to do my hair, which I love. I also tried their facial services, which included anti aging facial massage and microdermabrasion, and blue light therapy and face mask, and of course can’t forget the amazing smelling spf 50 sunscreen. I’ve been out in the sun all day and My skin still feels fresh. 🙌🏻💕💁🏻‍♀️
