UPDATE: First I'd like thank those of you that have shared similar situations with me, although they didn't happen at this same location. It's been 2 months since this happened and it's been nothing but deflection and the ghosted by the representative that contacted me from the valet parking company LAZ. I never received a call from Regan, which was expected, since the hotels position is that they didn't park my car and I have to deal with the company they contract out to for any type of resolution. This whole thing is something else. The hotel staff has lied to me, the Parking company was trying to tell me the damage was noted during check-in at 7:30 PM, when I checked in at 4:45. Hotel staff says there are no security cameras when in fact they're place all around the building and at the entrance / exit to the garage. It's not about the 5K to fix my car, now it's just a matter of principal and accountability. If you're going to allow 18 year old kids to drive around 100 thousand dollar cars, I'd expect a little more oversight and security around the operation. I'll still be waiting for that call from Regan, and in the mean time, start to pursue my legal options and recourse. Frustrating that it's come down to this, but somethings you just can't let go... I'll post updates along the way
Rarely do I post reviews and even more rare do I post a rant, but here goes.... All in all My stay was great as my GF and I like to do staycations in the Bellevue area and usually stay at one of the Marriott properties in downtown. The reason for this post is due to my Range Rover being damaged by the valet during my stay. At the time the damage was found, everyone seem cooperative and concerned and I'm not one to get worked up over a scrape on the side of my car and figured the insurance would take care of it. 2 weeks late the valet service is denying they caused the damage and I'm now stuck playing investigator to prove something that was obviously done by them at the time. The yellow paint on my car, which matched the columns in the garage says it all... I've been in touch with hotel and valet management and told there are no security cameras that would show what happened to my vehicle during this visit. I went by the hotel yesterday only to find multiple security cameras located on the perimeter of the hotel and one right at the entrance and exit of the valet parking garage. When I asked hotel management about this newly discovered security system they stalled for a bit explaining that someone was newly hired to the position of security manager and i would not be able to view any security footage... So you stay at a hotel, they contract out to a 3rd party to park cars for their guests, a guest say hey! these guys damaged my car and most likely there is a record of my vehicle entering and exiting the garage without damage going in, and then possibly showing the damage coming out and your answer is "your not allowed to see any security footage"... I've been pretty chill over this so far... I've contact my insurance company to begin their part of this which will impact my rates and so on... All I'll I've asked the Marriott for is to look out for one of its guests that has been wronged on their property by one of their subcontractors... We'll see if they're willing to look into the matter further and I'll post an update... If any of you have had this happen to you feel free to chime in with any advise... I expect more from...
Read moreMy wife and I had a horrific experience during our stay at Seattle Marriott Bellevue from 8/3–8/5, 2025, and we feel compelled to share this for the safety of others.
On the evening of 8/4, around 8:10 pm, I dropped my wife at the lobby so she could rest in our room on the 12th floor while I met friends at a nearby bar. Within minutes, she called me in a trembling voice, asking me to immediately come back.
Here’s what happened: She entered the elevator, but before she could use her key card to select the 12th floor, the elevator went down to the lower level where a male stranger (braided hair, about 5’2”, green backpack) entered. He pressed no button, said nothing, and simply rode with her as the elevator went straight up to the 12th floor. Alarmed, my wife stayed inside when the doors opened. The stranger then stared at her, asked why she didn’t leave, and hesitated when she asked which floor he was going to. He eventually said “first floor.” My wife quickly told him she was also going to the first floor, pretended to “drop something off,” and immediately called me. When they reached the lobby again, she ran to a more populated area and waited in tears until I returned.
We reported the incident right away to the front desk, giving them exact details and a timestamp. Shockingly, nothing meaningful was done. The night manager admitted he couldn’t access camera footage, and his only “solution” was offering us a room change—which did nothing to address the core safety issue. The next morning, the engineer claimed to have checked footage but referenced the wrong time (11 pm instead of 8:10–8:15 pm). After we corrected him, the only follow-up we received was a voicemail two days later saying the lobby cameras “didn’t capture the elevators” and that there were no cameras inside the elevators at all. When I tried to return his call, he hung up and never reached back out.
There was no apology, no acknowledgment of the trauma my wife endured, and no reassurance that Marriott takes guest safety seriously. As a Titanium Elite member, this lack of accountability and basic follow-through was shocking.
My wife is still shaken by the thought of what could have happened if she had stepped out at the 12th floor and been followed. We travel often and chose Marriott for its reputation, but after this experience—and the hotel’s complete failure to address or even properly investigate a serious safety concern—we will never stay here again.
Guests deserve to feel safe in a hotel, not left traumatized and ignored. Consider this a warning to anyone thinking of staying at...
Read moreThis review is a few years late but still very much deserved. We stayed at the Seattle Marriott Bellevue for a few days before our Alaska cruise, and the experience was absolutely wonderful from beginning to end.
The main reason we chose this hotel was because my close friend Kelly, insisted I try Din Tai Fung in Bellevue, which was nearby. That recommendation led us to this hotel—and I am so glad it did. It turned out to be one of the best stays we have had in the Seattle area.
We are longtime Marriott fans and Bonvoy members, and this hotel completely lived up to the high standards we’ve come to expect from the brand. In fact, it exceeded them.
From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed. The lobby is modern and beautiful, and everything from check-in to check-out was smooth and stress free. What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone was professional, warm, and attentive. But one person in particular made our stay especially memorable.
Manny from the bell desk was a true gem. My daughters were much younger then, and Manny treated them with such genuine kindness and care every single day of our stay. He went out of his way to say hello, engage with them, and make them feel special. It is rare to find hotel staff who not only do their jobs well but also take the time to connect with guests in such a thoughtful and personal way. My girls still remember him, and that speaks volumes.
Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The beds were perfect after long days of exploring, and the bathroom was modern and well maintained. Housekeeping did an excellent job each day, and we always came back to a fresh and welcoming space.
The location is also a big plus. The hotel is right in the heart of Bellevue with easy access to shopping, restaurants, and of course Din Tai Fung which absolutely lived up to the hype. We enjoyed being able to walk around the area safely and easily. It is a great base if you are exploring the Eastside or even planning to head into Seattle.
Although a few years have passed since our stay, the warm memories we have of this hotel and the people who made it special have stayed with us. We have stayed at many Marriott properties over the years, but Seattle Marriott Bellevue holds a special place in our hearts. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy some family time before heading off on our cruise.
Thank you to the entire team at Seattle Marriott Bellevue for such a wonderful experience. We look forward to returning one day and hope Manny is still there spreading his warmth...
