Sugar n Flakes Bakery & Cafe — Restaurant in Bellevue

This was my second time ordering from this bakery. My first interaction was good. I sent them a picture of the cake I wanted. They mirrored the cake for my youngest daughter's birthday. This time I reached out and and sent them a picture, they responsed, showing me a picture of what they could do. I didn't like their version so I sent them the mauve colored cake that is "15" and asked if they could make this cake. They said yes they could make it as 21. The day of the party I had my mother pick the cake up. She didnt know what the cake was supposed to look like but she had them replace the roses because she said they were dead. She sent me a picture and that's when I saw it wasn't even the same color, it was just chocolate brown! I immediately emailed them expressing my disappointment. She calls me back yelling at me that it was my fault for not telling her that I wanted it purple. But I sent you a picture of a purple cake. The first time I ordered from them they matched the colors perfectly to the picture I sent. This time it was my fault for not telling them here's a picture of the cake I want, btw I also want it the same color? That makes no sense. They added the gold without any additional direction but needed detailed instructions to make the cake the color of the picture? Then blamed me for it turning out incorrect. They said they would make it right and be in touch. That was a week ago and I never heard from them again. What a disappointing experience. Will not be ordering any additinal cakes from them. I can’t say enough about how exceptional Sugar n Flakes Bakery & Cafe is! From the moment you walk in, you feel the warmth and love that Pooja (the wonderful owner) pours into every aspect of this bakery. She’s truly crafted a place that feels like a sweet escape, with treats that aren’t just beautiful to look at but taste phenomenal.

One of the things that stands out is the low sugar content in the desserts. You can genuinely taste the quality of each ingredient, allowing the natural flavors to shine through without overwhelming sweetness. This approach makes every bite even more enjoyable and guilt-free! I ordered two tier cake spiderman theme. I got it. It looks good but the butter cream on cake on both tiers taste Like paste which is tasteless. I paid $200 for this cake and both tiers I don't taste a single flavor cake is dry and I have ordered 6" tres leches 8" vanilla sponge cake with white chocolate buttercream filling. I don't see white chocolate butter cream at all. If you see in picture unless they just add white chocolate essence in cream and fill it. The colour is white. The colors used are crazy they don't go unless we wash multiple times especially black one. But that's okay. The cream for both tiers are not edible I am saving the cake will try to go instore to make them taste it. We choosed this bakery in Bellevue it's 1.5 hr journey from our home. It's almost 3 hr drive. Fondant is fondant its okay its just for show. Unless it's marshmallow fondant we can't eat. I have all kids just ate little bit and left while their parents tried it from their plates they didn't care to ask a piece.who wants a dry cake with pasty butter cream not tasting anything like cake.
