I learned so much from Kyle during my one hour Full Face Makeover! He did an excellent job listening to my wants and needs, while also artistically delivering a one of a kind natural and glowly look made just for me.
In the notes section before I submitted the date and times, I added about my sensitive eczema prone skin and wanting a natural 'no-makeup makeup' look without eyelashes, eyeliner or bold high contrast colors. I hoped my makeup artist would take the time to read it before the appointment and guess what - he did.
The person doing my makeup waa Kyle, a kind, easy to talk to, bubbly, knowledgable, passionate perfectionist! Before the appointment having arrived early, he symphasized with my sensitive skin which showed me he took the time to read my notes beforehand. I knew I was in good hands! It's no surprise he uniquely choose only the most natural high quality products for sensitive skin! The makeover process went great, however I really wish there was a two hour option for those seeking more one on one makeup instruction. Believe me when I say that, learning everything he had to teach, our one hour makeover flew by so fast! We didn't get a chance to do the lips, but even despite this I hardly needed it, photo attached! He did an incredible job with everything else including skin care/prep, concealer, eyebrows, eyes, ect. He was teaching and advising me where to apply the products, how much product to use, how often, and so forth, while alao answering my questions and listening to my needs and wants. He took quality time with me while also powering through and squeezing what he could into one hour.
Overall, Kyle artistically and thoughtfully showed me how to create a fresh, warm and glowy look, catered to my Asian/Latina skin tones, with products specifically for my sensitive skin as requested. I highly recommend Kyle and this location for a full face makeover. It's been a while since our makeover and I'm still using the same products and techniques I learned from Kyle...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been rogue member for over ten years. I like go to Sephora. However this time I have meet bad customer services ļ¼!! I came here to exchange a spray. It has a serious quality issue Iāve recently found. They refused my request and one of the staff was rude. The reason they think is that it overdue the date which can exchange because of the companyās policy, but I didnāt open it on the day I bought them, I just opened it recently and found itās got quality issues. But I think it not related with the due date they can exchange. It more related it got bad quality itself, if they all have this problem they should recall all their products not say something like overdue date. But what make it worse if that they gave me a feeling that I try to take advantage or something! I donāt really know why that staff showed me an arrogance face, but that staff opened the sealed cap instead of just simply spraying it to check. Especially with unsterilized hands ! Why they required customers canāt touch anything when they come inside during covid but their staff havenāt been told donāt open customersā thing with unsterilized hands? when I say you open it but you wonāt exchange? she changed her face with a scornful expression and used a mean voice said: oh what do you mean ! you already open it!! Iām not good at quarreling but I think she donāt understand as a customer service, if you donāt want to exchange the product(since itās a personal thing and during covid time) youād better donāt open it fully (itās a spray. You donāt need to open) there is a risk to get bacteria or viruses inside cause me have acne or skin problems! Especially In crowed public place with unsterilized hands. Im not that rich can throw everything I bought in the garage can. so maybe I will still use it if I find a way to make it better by adding some lotion or try to find other ideas. I think Sephora should have some customer oriented staffs who are more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI never really have an issue with Sephora, Iāve been shopping there for years (different locations but always relatively the same experience). Iām somewhat familiar with the business model that their sales associates have to follow but typically, when Iām approached by one, itās easy to communicate that Iām not interested in their recommendations. Today, I was browsing before heading to checkout to get my birthday gift. I was looking at a product when a saleswoman (dark, short hair and circle glasses) came up to me and asked if I was looking for a good finishing spray. I was confused because the product I was looking at was not a finishing/setting spray, and I said no. She then proceeded to try to sell me on Urban Decay, using a bunch of buzzwords to make it sound impressive, as if I havenāt been wearing makeup for a decade and didnāt know about the most popular setting spray on the market. She then womansplained a bunch of other makeup items to me (eyebrow pencil, bronzer, highlighter - again, Iām 26, Iāve been wearing makeup for over 10 years), and even though I was trying to communicate I wasnāt interested, she pushed and pushed and took up about 10-15 minutes of my time. I tried to say I wanted to wait for Black Friday, āoh we donāt even do sales that are that good for Black Friday, you should just buy now!ā or that I am in between jobs so I donāt have a ton of money to spend, āyouāre an insider right? You get a discount! I mean, youāre already here!āThe key to being a good salesperson is being able to read the room and not ignore the signals a customer is very obviously giving you. I felt like I was at a car dealership! Iād appreciate if Sephora trained their sales associates differently and donāt basically make them have to...
