Fabric Joint - Fabric + Upholstery — Local services in Belvedere Park

Today was my 1st time visiting here and I was absolutely ecstatic! There was a phenomenal selection and the prices were outstanding. I'm never going back to a Joann's again if I can avoid it. The store is about 50% to 75% upholstery fabrics, but even then they still have a large selection of fabrics that will work for both costuming and fashion. I definitely recommend checking this place out, but be aware that the selection is eclectic. You will need to spend some time searching for what we're looking for and you may not find exactly what you need if your needs are specific. But if you can find what you need, it's awesome! Definitely going to be the 1st place I hit whenever I'm looking for anything. It also looked like a section of the store was dedicated to doing upholstery, so I think they actually offer that...

I contacted Mr. John the owner to upholster two medium recliners with a leopard chenille fabric. He told me it would take two weeks. First, problem was the upholster could not follow the repeat in the fabric….Second the recliner looked nothing like the original. The original came from Haverty’s furniture and it had pleats on the arm, cording, down backing in the cushions. Lastly, when I went to look at the finished upholstery job I was in TEARS! This was the worst upholstery work I had seen in my life. LISTEN… THEY NEVER REMOVED THE ORIGINAL FABRIC. THEY COVERED OVER THE EXISTING FABRIC. DO NOT GO HERE!!! The work is terrible. The paisley is the original coverage …the animal print is the botched work done by Fabric Joint. Exposed by another upholster. To rate this...

The fabric joint is a locally owned fabric stop that I will be spending a lot of time in in the near future. There are many options from regular cotton, fleece, leather, wools, upholstery material and more. The patterns are endless.

For a beginner like me, I love that they have a clearance section where I can buy cheap fabric to practice with. (I was even able to find a fabric with my initials!).

The staff here is also very knowledgable and informative, they have an entire section of the store dedicated to upholstery fabrics and they were actively reupholstering chairs while I was there.
