A complete nightmare to be real smh. The owner lacks accountability and would rather hear himself yell over the phone, than to actually resolve a situation that is advantageous for the customer. For starters, I came here to see if they could fix my one rim. One of the workers said yea the owner does it, you just have to wait until he gets here. I came back and he got a blow torch and fired it up and called himself to fix it, but it was still leaking once he dipped it in the water. He says it's leaking from the back, and I said I just need you to get it to stop leaking, take as much time as you need and I'll tip you. (Which I did). I take it home and wake up the next day and it is still leaking, all the way to zero. I towed the car to them because I was not comfortable driving it back with-it losing air the way it was, plus he said don't drive on it. They get a chance to look at it and say it's something in your tire and it needs to be replaced. I purchase another tire from them and have them put it on. I leave after the purchase and drive it down the road no more than 7 mins when I see the pressure going down again. I text him photos and a video where you can hear the sound of air coming out. He says bring it back. I guess it is the rim still too. (They keep the wheel for 5 days with no update or nothing). I have to continue to reach out to different people at the shop to see what's the update since the owner stopped responding via text. The brother at the shop says Patrick advised him to put some seal on it and see what's wrong. I pulled up to the shop to see what the eta and he does the seal stuff in front of me and says it's still leaking. I'm like how was it still leaking when he worked on it? He states it could be the rust on the rim and all he can do is put some more seal on it but it's a 50/50 chance it will work. I told him if his brother couldn't have fixed it from the jump and he could have just said that, and I would have gone elsewhere. I also said I'm not comfortable with 50/50 when I have my family that drives in the car and something happens, I wouldn't be able to live with that. I advised him to just take the tire off, and I can get someone else to look at it. (Obviously trying to get them to fix their mistake was not cutting it). After trying to get the tire off for 10 mins he says he can't do it by himself and that the person who is supposed to be helping is sleeping. So, the tire is semi on from deflating the air. I take the rim to another repair shop 15 mins from there and they not only fix it but even point out where there are slits in the inside of the tire and state you need another tire because the one you got is bad. I mention this back to the original tire people and the owner gets defensive and argues back and forth after I provide proof of what it looks like (photos and live video) and for stating I need a refund for this tire. We go back and forth and I'm like Bruh, I don't have time to go back and forth like no female over something they didn't fix. He gets mad saying I'm not listening, when I told him to say his peace and take off on two different occasions. After yelling for 30 seconds, he hangs up the phone on me as if he's the one justified on being angry. Newsflash, I have been up to this spot having to deal with this same issue on four different occasions. If anyone is justified in crashing out it should be me lol. I just advised him that I don't have time to go back and forth and that I will dispute it with my CC company and report this to BBB because this is just bad business. I love to support black businesses but people like the owner make it difficult and give supporting black businesses a bad rep. Just...
Read moreI had a flat tire yesterday and had to use roadside assistance to put on my spare. I didn’t want to risk driving too far on a spare, so I went to Patrick’s on Memorial Drive since it was the only 24-hour shop open.
The staff were polite, but the service was unacceptable. I was charged $55 for a used tire that was supposed to cost $40. I even told them I could dispose of my old tire myself, yet they still charged me for disposal. On top of that, the tire they gave me has no tread on the side, unlike my other three tires. That is unsafe and completely unacceptable.
On top of that, ever since leaving the shop, my wheel now shakes when I accelerate. This was not happening before I caught the flat. My rim is not bent — roadside assistance safely put my donut on before I came to the shop — so whatever issue is happening came directly from the tire they put on. That tells me the tire is bad and should never have been sold in the first place.
I don’t mind paying for a used tire, but it should at least have tread and be safe to drive on. This feels dishonest and dangerous. I will be disputing my charges and will never return to this shop.
If you want reliable service and quality tires, I strongly recommend Maxx Tires in Conyers on Sigman Road. I’ve been going there for two years and never had an issue with any tire from them.
We have to be careful, especially as women, because some shops don’t care about our safety — and this experience made that very clear. Selling someone an unsafe tire is playing with their life, and that’s something I...
Read moreDo not go there!!!! I’ve had 2 bad encounters and there won’t be another. First I went to have a rim repaired and I had to take to another rim repair shop to fix their mistake but I’m open to second chances so I went back. This time my rim was repaired correctly but they damaged my brand new tire that I just purchased for another company and tried to convince me that the tire was damaged when I brought it there. After talking to the rude owner I had to bring receipt that I just brought that tire in order for him to pay for my damaged tire. They Do Not have the machine to remove tire so BEWARE. They are doing it the old school way so if you do not want more damages steer clear of Patrick’s (I see that the owner responds more to reviews than he does call. P.S I’m talking about your shop Patrick’s Tire and etc on...
