Waffle House — Restaurant in Belvedere Park

My mom went to dine in today and received terrible service and food. She ordered a "bowl" and it was cold. They had no microwave to heat it up. The waitress took the payment and didn't say thank you or apologize for the cold food or inconvenience of it being cold nor give her a senior discount. This was about 12 noon. The regular male cook with the glasses was not there and we won't be going back. We were rushed to order and the waitress act like she had an attitude. Two females came in after us to sit down and eat. They requested that the table be wiped down again but the waitress didn't do it. These females left and the waitress was overheard saying that she was not going to wipe the table down again. So my mom ended up throwing out the food she ordered because it smelled like rotten eggs. The spoonfulls that she did eat almost made her sick. I also asked for water in a to go cup and the waitress said they didn't have that many cups. So, I didn't order the water or beverage because the waitresses half wash their dishes. Awful House. She also put her hand on the rim of my mother's water glass. I will be eating at my "House". Oh, and the floor was sticky where I was sitting. Xmas decorations had fallen on the floor and were just sitting there...

While we all understand being short staffed, scheduling issues, etc etc at no point should i walk into an establishment and see 4 employees, 2 of which are on their phones, and be told “you got to wait for us to take your order”. There are 4 able body humans that should be able to make a simple order. Everyone should be cross trained to work every station to prepare food, clean front and back of house, as well as take and call orders. There were enough people there to be open full service let alone simply take my order. They could have said they were doing to go orders or locked the doors all together with a sign up stating the time they would open to be able to serve guests. The service here is extremely inconsistent and is a case of people at work not wanting to work and being lazy. Even when they do service people you can guarantee that something on your order will be missing or wrong which is baffling considering they are never busy because you never know to what capacity or if they will be open. Don’t waste your time going to this location. Pick another where the service is consistent and the workers actually...

This past Tuesday I went to waffle house on Columbia dr around 9 45 am. The girl taking order at the register was SO NASTY ! SHE WAS GIVING ME ATTITUDE SINCE I WALKED THROUGH THE DOOR. WHILE TAKING MY ORDER SHE WAS RUDE AND VERY AGGRESSIVE. WHEN I WENT TO PAY FOR MY ORDER SHE SNATCHED MY CARD OUT MY HAND AND WHEN IT WAS TIME TO RECEIVE MY CARD BACK SHE THREW IT ON THE COUNTER ALONG WITH THE RECEIPT. I DID NOT REACT I WENT TO MY CAR AND SAT FOR 20 MINS. I REALIZED DUE TO HER ACTIONS I DID NOT WANT ANY FOOD FROM THERE EVEN THOUGH I PAID FOR IT. JUST HER BEING RUDE AND NASTY FOR NO REASON I DONT KNOW IF SHE WAS GOING TO SPIT IN MY FOOD OR ANYTHING I DONT KNOW BUT I DIDNT TAKE THAT CHANCE SO I LEFT AND MY ORDER WAS PAID FOR.
