Piggly Wiggly McCalla — Local services in Bessemer

Below is my previous Review expressing frustration with attendants standing at the end of Self Checkout, putting their filthy shors on the food counter. So, I stopped going to any but the first registers in that line. BUT NOW THEY’VE OUT DONE THAT FILTH. Came in to get a bag of ice. Found the employee LOADING THE COOLER WITH BAGS OF ICE, HE HAD SPREAD OUT ON THE FLOOR MAT IN FRONT OF THE COOLER!!! Those FILTHY bags go in my freezer, on my food in a cooler, or on my table/counter when I fill glasses with ice He had no better sense than to spread several bags on the floor, instead of using a shipping cart to bring them out. Definitely NO TRAINING, NO SUPERVISION AND FOR SURE..NO COMMON SENSE!! Done and done!! And the same male management person, as below, was standing ignorantly by while this was being done IN PLAIN SIGHT. This WAS my favorite store until just now!!! THE FILTHIEST THING I HAVE EVVVVER SEEN IN A GROCERY STORE. The female that was standing at the end of the self checkout line had herself propped up by putting her shoe..yes, a filthy shoe she walked in on....on the platform where you put your groceries to bag them. Imagine carrying the filth, from the pavement of the parking lot-which she had to have walked across to come into the store- on your groceries and bags that you bring into your house!! Beyond comprehension that annny one could think this was ok. BUT, apparently the “manager” that was at the customer service counter-male, heavy set tall light colored hair- had no problem with it at all, When I told him he did nothing but look at me as though “what’s the problem” and DID NOTHING, not...

My child is 16 her first job was piggly wiggly she is a straight A student very responsible and they accuse her a 185 dollars missing from her register and keep giving me the run around an tim the store manger will not review the camera n my daughter was very hurt behind this n if i cant see any proof which it isnt none the reason he want review the camera so thts wrongful termination and if i cant see any camera footage or my lawyer i will be taken matters alot futher(Lawyer) yes she found another job but its the principle im trying to teach my child responsibility and and trying to instill in her how to be a be a productive young lady in this time in age we need our kids to be productive and employees should not take advantage of them im very hurt behind this. Great alternative to the conventional grocery store. Good selection of most everything I was looking for. The difference here is the pricing. They advertise that their prices are 10% above cost. Some things were not as cheap as I would like to have found, for instance a certain brand of tea available was about 20 cents higher than at another larger retail chain. However, on the day I visited this store the ground beef was only 99cents a pound. Which I think is a very good price. Another purchase I made was for the product Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar (with the Mother). Usually I purchase this product elsewhere for over $5 to $6. But Piggly Wiggly had the same product size and all for less than $4.
