I would not even give this place 1 star if google didn’t require it. The owner (Mohammad) is one of the rudest and uneducated people I have ever encountered. There was a poor exchange student working there (god love her, it was only her 2nd day) and she didn’t know how to resolve an issue regarding a pair of sweatpants. Let’s back up a minute….my mother hurt her knee the day prior and can barely walk, so I went and bought her a pair of sweatpants to make sure feel better and get more comfortable as we finished our last day at the beach. They were not the correct size, so she wanted to simply return them. I understand there are no returns here….completely understand. The new girl working didn’t know how to accommodate us so she called Mohammad, the owner. She had my mother speak with him simply because she couldn’t convey the issue. Mohammad was down right rude off the bat when on the phone with my mother. I took the phone and try to explain the issue to him and he began calling me names and told me he didn’t care about me or my issue. In my eyes, that is poor business management. He said that I was yelling at him, which I was not and trust me, I can yell if I needed to but there was no reason. After calling me a Karen…which is extreme offensive and totally unrelated to the issue. There was no need for name calling and belittling. He hung up on me and let the new girl deal with the issue. I felt so bad for her because she was the sweetest person. So I guess what I am trying to say is there are plenty of places to spend money on vacation at Bethany beach but I advise you NOT TO SPEND YOUR MONEY AT THE PALMS…especially if Mohammad is...

My daughter & her best friend got "henna" tattoos 3 nights ago. The young lady who did them was courteous & accommodating as we arrived late in the evening.We followed all of the instructions & the first day my daughter's looked good but her friends didn't look developed. We decided to wait the 3 days like the instructions indicated to see the final results. Over the next 2 days my daughter's started to bleed into the design as well as to other parts of her body (it transferred with skin to skin contact)! She broke capillary veins on her face as well as her chest exfoliating it off!! We went back to the store to show them the henna tattoos. The person who did the henna & day manager were quite respectful & acknowledged that although unusual that it was subpar in it's appearance. The day manager requested to take pictures & send to owner which we consented to. He then spoke to the owner of the store who asked how much we paid ($80!). He said the best they could do was give another henna. Why would we want another henna when two of them were defective (1 cont to bleed & the other didn't pop it's color)?! We requested a partial refund as I felt that a full refund wasnt fair as she spent time placing the product on them. I actually planned to buy t-shirts with the refund if given as an act of good faith. Not only did the owner refuse the partial refund but also refused to speak to me. What horrible customer service! We've been coming to Bethany Beach since 2005 & I have been a customer of the Palms before BUT I will NEVER step foot in this...

DO NOT get a henna tattoo at this place. Me and my two cousins went last night to get out hennas done. They over charge, as mine was $35 and theirs were each $15. We all let our henna sit for about two hours and then washed it of with soap and water( he never told us to do this we just already knew.) We went to bed, then the next day we found it all smeared and it is on my face!! We went back to the shop to ask for a refund, and if he has a solution to get if off of us and he accused us of not washing it with soap and water. He had horrible customer service and was very rude to us. Last it’s not even a real henna it’s cheap black ink and it’s not the beautiful brown an henna is supposed to look like.
