Getboards - Kayak & Paddleboard Rentals — Local services in Big Bear Lake

I've been visiting GetBoards for about 8 years now. They have always been great and knowledgeable. I used to rent for them for years now I buy all my gear there.

Roman is a sales associate that helped me on my last purchase of a Snowboard, Bindings and Boots. Roman was very nice and VERY knowledgeable, he took his time to explain each item to us. Explaining the pros and cons of each item rather then trying to upsell something because it was more expensive is really why we appreciated him. From taking time to expailn boards to us, he began to explain bindings and which he preferred as well as what would work good with what type of riding we were doing. He was very patient pulling out boots and explaining the pros and cons of that boot. Roman didnt make the experience uncomfortable during my Visit to Getboards, meaning he didnt pressure me into buying anything. Which is one of the main reasons why I come back to Getboards year after Year...CUSTOMER SERVICE. With the new board purchase I recieved a snowboard bag and Roman said on my next visit he would even wax the board for free.

If your looking for a board shop that KNOWS what they are talking about and not just talking about the highest price item Getboards is the place to go. From Boards to rentals, to gloves this is the place to go. Snowboards and Skiers alike can really get what they need with the customer service to match. Tony the owner is a aweosme guys as well of you get a chance to see him tell him about your experience there it goes a long way. I believe he does a great job staffing his employees.

If your looking for service they have an awesome service department that really knows what to do for every situation.

Definitely make this place a GO TO FOR VACATION!! Great place! Great people! This place is the best, hands down! Went to the shop (40977) to get bikes last week. Ask for Dezzy, she was helpful and very knowledgeable about the bikes and the area, she even helped with helmet fittings and attaching the kids trailer. She was super kind and helpful when giving us our bike rentals a few days ago. Today we decided to go kayaking (40905), which is a block away from their bike shop. (Super convenient!) We checked in at the main shop (the girls there were great!) and headed down to the lake. Upon arrival we glanced down into the bay and see that a kid drowning and this girl (from Getboards) risks her life and her job, jumps into the lake to save the drowning kid. That's AMAZING!! These people here at Getboards (Especially this woman that saved a kids life go above and beyond what they are called to do. This woman definitely deserves a raise and definitely deserves a round of applause for saving a kids life. No one does this Now-a-days! Spread love! Reward the ones that actually have heart in this world of darkness! Mike down at the dock was great as well! Helped us with our questions and kind enough to talk is through our first time kayaking....

One of the Getboards locations caught my eye and was conveniently located right next to the the Airbnb I was staying at, near Boulder Bay Park.

The beautiful and brightly colored boards were just so inviting I couldn't help but want to take them out on the water!

So I went over to their location and set up a kayaking venture the very next morning!

The owner of Getboards was so extremely welcoming and accommodating. Their locations offer paddle boards (SUP), kayaks, e-bikes, mountain bikes, ski gear, snowboarding gear and more. The company even delivers and their prices are affordable, totally unbeatable!!

Not to mention, the customer service is great and they help made me feel secure getting into the kayak or riding the e-bikes for my very first time!

I highly recommend Getboards to anyone going to Big Bear!

Plus they are a locally owned and operated business. Yay!
