My wife and I took a short overnight stay in Big Bear for her to see the area. I’ve been many times and this was her first. She loved the beauty of the area and we really enjoyed walking around the Village. It had be at least two decades since my last visit and much has changed without a doubt. Of course the surrounding countryside is beautiful and the Village keeps with the tradition of a small mountain village. Perhaps not small but traditional all the same. There are lots of restaurants and bars, and plenty of shops. We especially liked the wooden sculptures of the local fauna. It’s only a couple hour drive from Lake Forest CA where we live and after her first adventure we will return. Having friends with a cabin will make our next stay that...

The Big Bear Lake Village is a very nice place to visit. It has a lot of different and similar stores one can browse and buy from depending on what you are looking for: souvenirs, specialty products, memorabilia, etc. It offers a lot of restaurants to suit your cravings. It also provides free public parking. My family and I went there after Christmas. We had a lot of fun for first-timers...

A cool place we have always enjoyed to fish. Spur-of-the-moment fishing trips here have never been disappointing. Charity walks have been something my family and I have participated in up here as well. It it a great atmosphere for families and nice relaxing trails to walk the dogs.
