After walking around The Village we stumbled upon the brewery, I’m lying I’ve been here before…. I want to say for Octoberfest many years ago. At the time I was pretty toasted, during my visit I was sober. Lol It was a nice day out so we decided on the patio, the waitress was fast and friendly. Nice enough to give us small samples. What we got The flight Honey Blonde – 3/5 light honey taste Blueberry Raspberry Blonde – 5/5 Best one Mosaic Wheat – 4/5 second favorite Pineapple Wheat – 1/5 Did someone spill sanitizer in here? It was terrible. Porter- 3/5 it wasn’t as bold as other places Citrus Wheat – 3/5 didn’t leave an impression Overall – 3/5
Food Weekly Special- 3 way pretzel – Regular, Pepperoni and cheese, Dessert style with cinnamon and sugar. I have to give kudos to the chef in finding a way to use day old pretzels. I thought we would’ve gotten fresh pretzels when it came to the regular but it didn’t taste that way. The pepperoni and cheese could’ve been better, no flavor add Italian seasoning to the tomato sauce, the “Churro” style was the saver here.. 2/5
Santa Fe chicken Salad - Spicy chicken, spring mix, tomatoes, roasted corn, olives, bell peppers, black beans, avocado, cilantro, tortilla chips with lime cilantro dressing. This was delicious I would have it again. 4/5
Prosciutto Apple Pesto Pizza - Pesto, mozzarella cheese, prosciutto, apple, basil, caramelized onion, balsamic drizzle. This was also very good but such a small portion. I get it the cost of prosciutto, pesto and basil is high. 5/5

Read moreMy husband and I headed to big bear to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We are big fans of brewing companies and decided to visit this one high in the mountains after our peaceful hike we had. By far the worst service I have recieved! We have been to Stone brewery, hanger 24, black market. You name it. First off the hostess did not seem to enjoy her job. She told us there was a wait which was fine, she said you can sit at the bar while you wait or whatever. As she points over we see there is no where to sit. So we sit at a belly top table and order a flight to kill time, right before we recieve it after we ordered it from a friendlier bar tender that reeked of cigarette since he had just returned from break, the hostess finally came to take us to our table but seemed bothered that we had ordered a flight. She said close it out and then I'll take you. Ok fine we can do that. Anyway she takes us upstairs and I see that within 10 min others get seated and their orders have been taken. I waited another 10 more minutes before I finally asked who was our server. The waitor says oh I assumed you guys were taken care of. We work in sections! So we finally order, get food and he closes us out without asking if we needed anything else! What the!? So we order another drink and then he closes us out again without asking and tells us that he's off and really needs to close us out and collect his paperwork! So we decide we had enough so we leave, as we leave my husband asks the same hostess if they have toothpicks and she says, go ask the bar. So he asks the bar and the bartender says I don't have any, ask the host! What a joke! You kidding me! You guys are all in this business to serve people and you guys are hiring people that are all in it for themselves! The only reason I'm giving a 2 is for good food and beer! That's it. I wont even give names since this was a team effort of bad service and it's so sad that your guests have to put up with it since you guys are one of the few breweries up there. Teams are a reflection of poor management, I see you guys already have a 3.9 and that should already be an indicator to change...
Read moreSo honestly I hate to give any business a low rating. I never have, normally if I have an unsettling experience somewhere I will just not go there ever again. I do not like the negative complaint culture of yelp and I wouldn't be continuing with this unless I thought it might safe a life. What is so conflicting is that the drinks and food were phenomenal and I give that five stars. What was so disturbing was the staffs compass for safe practices during covid. I also have to say that they weren't overly friendly but weren't necessarily rude either and just chalked that up to them being very busy. Which, BTW, is something I understand as I worked as a waitress for ten years before settling into my current career. The staff wasn't concerned with keeping masks on which is literally the most important thing I believe for an indoor resturant right now but our server, John, especially wasn't. The thing of it was that he had his mask on most of the time at our table except for the last two visits, the last visit he made to our table he had his mask down below his mouth and when saying thank you to us, spittle landed on my hand. Like I said, normally I'm not uptight but during a pandemic such as this I found this quite disturbing. If you need to pull your mask down at your serving job please go step outside. In the state of California, ca workers are legally able to take several 10 min breaks throughout the day. If this job is too sternous for you to keep a mask on your face to keep others safe from essentially dying then maybe you should think about a more remote job. I understand hospitality workers have had it rough but if you want to get back to work maybe make sure you're being as safe as possible to keep your place of work staying open so you can keep your job and not have it shut down due to an outbreak. To further make my point to perhaps people who don't think masks are important the death count of covid in the US is 241000 and in the state of California is 18,000. We enjoyed the food and drinks but will not be back or give this place another chance until the...
