Nestled on the mountain top you'll find great vibes, delicious cocktails, iced cold beer and bbq. Sitting outdoors on their pet friendly patio and seated around a picnic table you'll get lost in conversation as the good vibes roll. The customer service for my visit each time has been a pleasant one. On one circumstance we even had to drive from LA back up to big bear because my partner forgot his ID. I wish I remembered the manager on duty who I had spoken to but she was extremely polite, funny, helpful and actually assisted us the day we drove back up to collect our belongings. My customer service experience will possibly be what keeps me coming back. I am a fan of unique and delicious cocktails, especially being a former bartender I tend to lean towards the more unique cocktails. Their Island freeze cocktails definitely exceeded my expectations. I opted for the patriot freeze to start off my dinner. A combination of rum, ice cream and two flavors of curacao made up this delicious cocktail. I would say it definitely lived up to its name and was aesthetically pleasing. I ended my drinks in the evening with their Italian ice flavor cocktail which was an absolute delight. Although very plain in visuals this cocktail did not lack in flavor. Each Freeze does come with a souvenir hurricane glass and offers a discounted refill. No shame here my collection is growing. My food was good but I also felt there was nothing unique or special that set them apart from other locations. If your hungry the portion sizes are incredible and perfect to share so I feel the pricing is fair for the quantity. I do love this location is both pet friendly and ada/wheelchair accessible which is great for travelers like myself. Often times I have trouble going through doors in my wheelchair but this is one of the few places you'll never have to worry about. If you are looking for a great hangout and good conversation over drinks I highly recommend stopping here. Although I did not find the food anything special it is still good and pairs well with their drink...

Worst customer service experience ever !!!! Here is the short version of the story. We went there on November 14th 2020 in the evening and we were three people in the group. We ordered beers to start with and ordered main foods as well at the same time. Well we waited almost 30mins after the order but no sign of beers. I went to look for the server to see why is it taking so long to get some beers. The server said they are working on it and the beer should be there soon. okay!! We were waiting. 15-20mins later a different server brought only fries but no beers. Around 15-20mins later after serving the fries another server brought the main dishes but no sign of beer. I went to look for our server again and same answer that the beer will be served right way. Well all the foods were getting cold and we were waiting for the beer to start. It took almost an hour after we got the table to get our beers. We asked why did it take so long to get the beer and the server said there is rush in the drinks section which didn’t make any sense because we ordered bottled beers and other people around us were served beers and other drinks immediately after they the table. The server apologized several times for the delay and offered discount for the inconvenience. We didn’t go there to get discounted food and service but to get good food and good service. We refused discount offer and she said the manager will come to say sorry for inconvenience but the manager never showed up. Now about the food “ Worst food I ever had”. The worst part is that we felt neglected and discriminated. Is it because we were colored people?? The reason I am saying these because there were another group white people beside us and they were served the drinks with 5-10mins after they got the table and the foods were also served afterwards. I am sorry to say but if you are colored people please observe their service. If it happens to you don’t forget to give a review so that other customers may...

TLDR: You are going to want to eat here!! The chocolate lava cake is THE BEST

We started with the fried pickles. They are homemade with thick dill chips and a light, crispy batter. My bf thought they were a little greasy, but I thought they were some of the best I’ve had (and I order them every time I see them on a menu). We also got the buffalo pretzel bites. I’d never seen these on a menu. They were stuffed with the perfect amount of buffalo sauce and cheese and paired perfectly with a sweet and tangy dipping sauce. It reminded us a little of the chick fil a sauce we like so much. I personally thought that they were also really fun to eat and a unique and yummy combination of flavors. I’d definitely get them again.

I ordered sides of grilled vegetables and mashed potatoes for dinner- both were excellent. 5 out of 5. My bf ordered the BY grilled cheese and said it was fantastic. It was filled with perfectly smoked meat and the best tasting bacon. He loved their BBQ sauce. He dove in so fast that I didn’t get a photo.

We ended the meal with the chocolate lava cake. It was absolutely delicious! The BEST. Homemade. Perfect chocolate cake and melty chocolate, homemade whipped cream, and a ripe juicy strawberry.

It’s clear that the chef is committed to excellence and quality. We stumbled upon this place because everywhere else was crowded and had a wait. We really lucked out. Our server said they had updated the menu recently, and I think whatever they did is working!

The staff were also very friendly and our server/bartender gave great recommendations for drinks and food. The cherry old fashioned was great, the painkiller was tasty but strong, the prickly pear cider was just the right amount of sweet and tang. I thought the prices were reasonable too. I will definitely be eating here again (we visit big bear monthly). If you haven’t been here, or if you haven’t been since they revamped the food/menu, I can’t...

Stopped in after getting into the village. The pizzas are a great size for 1-2 people, wings are a good size (garlic Parm wast tasty) our waiter was very friendly and helpful at suggesting beers. He even brought out a birthday celebration cake ! Thank you.

After a long day a skiing, looked on line for decent place for dinner. Bone Yard was on the main drag and looked better than most other local options. Room isn't very warm. Our server was nice and engaged with us. She was familiar with menu and options. My friend had a alot of questions which she handled fine. Large food selection, something for everyone. Back side of menu was dedicated to drinks (beer, cocktails and spirits). Nothing mind blowing, but sufficient for local area and surrounding options. Vegetable beef soup was delicious, smokey and savory. Fried chicken was well made and delicously battered too. BBQ was dry, although you can tell someone put some effort into recipes. However, their housemade BBQ sauces on table were excellent (especially the spicy). Our server pulled double duty as bartender which was in the other room....so she kinda forgot about us at the end. The experience overall would have been much better if not for the $100 price point for two (with tip). This may be the standard for ski town, but felt prices were a tier higher than should be. Not much value. Will try somewhere else and do better research next time in Big Bear.
