Dollar General — Local services in Black Mountain

I went in to get some candy for a father's day gift for a very special person. There was only one cashier and around 6 people in line. It took over 10 minutes to get through the first two customers. It was very clear the cashier had no idea what he was doing, and had zero concern for the quickly growing line. I'm trying to get home for father's day, and I also desperately had to use the restroom, which the store does not have. I tried to be very patient, but after THIRTY MINUTES, that's half an hour, and me nearly losing my bowels on the floor, I finally gave up. I set my basket down and walked out. I ended up having to drive across town to go to the other location. I've been shopping at both these locations for nearly 30 years, but I might not go back...

A very rude, older woman works here. She loves to talk down to customers and thinks she's better than everyone else. Her name might be Wendy, I'm not sure. She was very rude to my wife who only asked who the hiring manager was. The woman refused to state who it was and got defensive saying we are full and there's no opportunities here. Excuse me, are you the manager who hires people? Doesn't seem like it, she never told my wife who was in charge of hiring. My wife is non confrontational, so she came home to tell me instead. The attitude on this woman is awful and we will be putting in a complaint. We are never going to this store again. In the midst of us losing everything we owned during Helene, I can't fathom how this woman could talk down to my wife...

Went to the dollar general next to the tractor supply store in black mountain. They had their sale sign up b1g1 of items, yes I should’ve read the date but still it was a big yellow sign, it got my attention. Got my b1g1 items to checkout old lady at front counter proceeds to tell me it’s my problem I didn’t read the sale sign that was expired that was still hanging up. I’m sorry but there was floor attendee that could’ve done your job as well, as you could’ve done it too. This wouldn’t have been a problem, she then rings up everything and I end up having to bag my own items as she walks off telling the other employee take down the expired sale signs. Rude old lady very unprofessional blames customer, will not shop at this...
