After a long game of disc golf my brother and I were rather parched so we decided to look for a spot that could quench that thirst.

Luckily we found this spot. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a welcoming kindness from the bartender. I noticed some people had flights so I opted to try a few different beers, why not? My brother did the same. We have very different palettes so we both chose different beers. And that way we were able to try a lot all together. The flight board was definitely something I wanted to take home. A little tray that held our glasses and an extra glass for some pretzels to cleanse the palette between tasting. They also had a help yourself water fountain.

We sat on the patio in the sun and was able to enjoy soaking in even more vitamin D. We chit chatted, shared our beers, and were put into a complete relaxation mode.

In the end I enjoyed myself so much I wanted to get a souvenir. I asked for a pint glass and the bartender pulled three different options for me to chose from. I chose the stemmed glass and we went on our merry way.

I can’t wait to...

Let’s see your in western NC and you stop by the little town of Black Mountain. You’ve heard of Pisgah Brewing and you drive by Black Mountain Brewing but wait there’s more. Tucked away behind the Konnichiwa Japanese restaurant is Lookout! Small in the beginning these guys have grown over the years and so have their brews. They have a funky eclectic inside tap room and outside courtyard area. They’ve got a good amount of outdoor seating and comfortable atmosphere. The beers are always decent and usually we have more then our share. They also have crowlers/growler options to feed the need when you leave :). Go ahead if your in town give them a try and see what you...

I went to Lookout Brewing after running with Mountain Running Company.

The place was super cool. I don’t drink and it had kombucha and nonalcoholic sparkling seltzer on tap. Lots of different beers options. They had indoor and outdoor seating. Outside they had a fire going, which was really nice.

They have a food truck with pub food options. It was just good vibes all around

Special shout out to Tanya who was super friendly. Honestly, probably the nicest service industry person I’ve meet in WNC. So thank you for just being kind...

Have been a few times and it’s always been good. Wrote a review this time because it was above and beyond tonight. The patio is perfect, there are heaters, plenty of space, a fire, and a food truck. Beer is always great, love their staples and test batch. Hazy IPA was exceptionally good tonight. The bartender working today did such a great job of reading the room and making everyone comfortable. After being home bound for three days with two babies, it was so worth it to get out for a beer. Love lookout and so happy to be in their neighborhood!

Black Mountain is a super cute little mountain town, and Lookout Brewing was an awesome way to end the hiking/downtown hop-around day. The beer was *fantastic*. If you like IPAs (and specifically hazy IPAs), this is your spot. The atmosphere and music matched the quality of the beer, and the TVs/food truck on site provided everything else you’d want in a brewery stop. Including all the breweries in Asheville/surrounding radius, Lookout easily ranks among the top of the craft breweries in my book.
