Mountain Nest — Attraction in Black Mountain

We have gone to Mountain Nest in Black Mountain, NC for several years and we love it! It is on Cherry Street, the main "shopping drag" in Black Mountain, easy to find, with restaurants, bars, and shops up and down the street.

Mountain Nest is a charming art gallery with works from local artists. I have purchased paintings, ceramic pieces (mugs, plates, etc.), jewelry, framed photos, and more, and they are all lovely. The colors are amazing, and their pieces come in many shapes and sizes. The prices vary and there are a number of items that are very reasonable.

The owner, manager, and stuff are super friendly but don't follow you around, and they are able to answer any questions.

On our last visit I bought an exquisite ceramic dish that is about half burgundy and about half gray, and it is both practical and beautiful. I love having meals in it and I can separate the foods, which is useful.

I also got simple, elegant silver earrings that are square shaped, and I have already gotten compliments on them!

very friendly and knowlegable staff. my son bought a handmade wooden pen from them. unfortunately it had a flaw when we went to use it . when we took it back, store was so extremely nice. this is even though I had already gotten rid of the receipt. They replaced it right away without any issue. I was very apologetic about it. however, they were able to pull their copy of the receipt. Beautiful art gallery! Has nice staff, lovely pottery, and wooden hummingbird houses.

Update: I went to Black Mountain on a trip and purchased a lovely mug from here! Unfortunately when I returned home, I noticed that my mug had a long, hairline crack that tea was seeping through. I reached out to them and they were so kind that they sent me a replacement mug.

Truly, a lovely store with great people! I will definitely be stopping back...
