I lived at the Green for just over 2 years and truth be told the only reason I moved was because the Green does not have any 3 bedroom offerings.
The facilities at the Green are new and well kept, a cleaning staff is there daily to make sure that all of the common areas are neat and tidy. The apartments are well appointed, with large bathrooms, and ample storage space in multiple closets. One thing to keep in mind is that you are responsible for the water filters in the refrigerator, however it is a minor expense. The two best parts about the green are its location and staff. Being just a block away from Bloomfield Station and less than a mile from the parkway it is an ideal place to live if you are commuting by car or rail. There are plenty of restaurants, post office, and grocery options within walking distance. Additionally the staff at the Green has always been attentive, accommodating, and a pleasure to interact with. Ralph, the building Superintendent is on top of everything. Ralph and his crew get repairs and maintenance done quickly and smoothly. Ashley Cohen and everyone else in the office has taken great care of us the entire time we lived at the Green. Ashley is easy to talk to and makes you feel like an old friend, she has been able to handle all of the questions and requests we had.
The Green is a premium building and it comes and a premium price, however the location, staff, and facilities make it a great place to live and well worth the money. My only criticism is the package concierge area, it gets a little crowded, with that being said I do not believe it was designed to handle the volume of packages that residents have been ordering due to COVID and could stand to have an additional...
Read moreMy initial attraction to The Green's online ad was the proximity to the Bloomfield train station, park, restaurants and shops. The reality did not disappoint. I had the pleasure of touring the community with Nate Howard from The Green's Leasing Office. From the moment he picked-up the phone and asked preliminary questions to determine that he had apartments to show that met my requirements, I knew that I was in good hands. On-site, he utilized my time efficiently by only showing me units that met my budget and desired wish list: open concept, hardwood floors throughout, washer/dryer and natural light. He also took the time to show me the common areas which include a concierge, parking, fitness center and residents' lounge. Each were fun, secure, modern and well-kept. Nate then followed-up with me and alerted me of upcoming openings on my preferred side of the building and floor. He showed how committed he is to his clients' complete satisfaction which is an outstanding quality that I know he will carry throughout the tenancy. Kudos Nate! You are a top notch...
Read moreVery positive experience living here - in particular I liked that it is overall very quiet in the apartment. There is good sound proofing on the walls so you will not hear next door neighbors. There is some minimal noise from cars going by outside, but it is really not something you would notice much. The Bloomfield train stop nearby is a very convenient way into NYC Penn Station (there are both direct trains and ones that make a quick transfer at Newark / or go to Hoboken depending on your destination). Neighbors are kind and courteous in passing. Both elevators work consistently and in the rare event that one of them is out they effectively communicate by email regarding the timeline for promptly making repairs. For reference I rented a one-bedroom apartment with my partner for nearly two years - we will be moving to a new city, and we will miss living at The Green! Nick in the leasing office is nice and very helpful, as is Ralph who is very quick to respond to...
