Moon Stones — Local services in Bloomington

Probably one of my favorite places in Bloomington. Whenever we’re in town, we make it a point to try to visit with my younger sibling. The staff is amazing, they’re incredibly kind people. There are two parts to Moon Stones- the lower half sells mainly crystals, the annex has other various other items but I mainly go up there to buy animal bones! Which I collect and display around my home. :) I highly recommend this place to anyone who has an interest in oddities (and I say ‘oddities’ lovingly). You’ll never feel unwelcome and you’re sure to find something...

This adorable shop has a wide assortment of stones and metaphysical jewelry and gifts. There's a ton of stuff to see in here, so be sure to take your time and look down on the lower shelves. Their finished jewelry is reasonably priced and they have a very nice assortment. I'm not sure i'd call this place a bead store as much as i would a jewelry craft store as there was a nice selection on pendants, stringing materials...

I love this store! I’ve gotten a wooden box, hair pin, three bracelets, shark tooth, bone hook pendant, and a Aquamarine. I was skeptical that the pearl bracelet wasn’t real pearl but the lady behind the counter told me it was real but not higher quality. I went home and did the pearl test and it’s real! It’s imperfections is what makes it a perfect bracelet. I don’t care if it’s a “lower”...
