If only there were more stars to give! We have been twice, and both times the staff was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. You can tell they actually care about their product, and are happy to help you pick the right cut, or give tips on cooking.

Today, I was in San Antonio and went through two grocery stores, but could not find meat that looked good. I called my wife, and asked if she’d stop by Mainz on her way home.

The beef tenderloin she bought was actually $3 / lb less than comparable cuts, but that’s really not a fair statement because there were no “comparable” cuts elsewhere. These steaks were gorgeous. A little simple seasoning and a quick reverse sear later… we grill at least once a week, and I’m not exaggerating when I say these were probably the best steaks I’ve ever cooked. Perfectly tender, and utterly delicious.

My only complaint is that there are never any leftovers....

They just opened two weeks ago. They didn’t have a super large selection but what was displayed looked great. The 3.5lb tomahawk we purchased was beautifully marbled and you can really taste the difference in quality. They offer dry-aged, wet-aged, and even aqua aged cuts, which is something you don’t find just anywhere. The owner and staff make the experience even better. They’re knowledgeable, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do. The owner explained to us what aqua aging was and even showed us the cut he was currently aging. First rime customer, life long customer. I just had finished my work day and did not look all that great but Mason was very welcoming and had great suggestions on the the beautiful Waygu ribeye and wine to pair. He even offered to help to have some itema ready,, in the future , if I was running late from my job That is great customer service. The steak and wine pairing was excellent. I cant wait to order different cuts...
