I am a 60 year old male, I Stopped in to Eat with My Mother, Placed order and paid with credit card ? $17 ? we waited, the people to left, Ordered right after me, they received their order and left. A guy came out and asked what our order was, but what he had was not it, we waited some more Car pulled in to the right and placed order, it had been about 20 minutes sense we ordered, I pushed button , when it was eventually answered, I ask where order was , they had lost it or something, but she took order again, but what she showed on screen was not showing our order it was a single burger or something, came too a little over $9, and she just zeroed it out, on screen! So we waited again, after 5 minutes the car to the right received their order and left, , I waited about 2 more minutes, and punched the button again, and waited, now the place was not busy, we could see the employees poking, laughing and cuttin up in the front entrance, there was hardly any one parked in stalls, but the drive thru was busy, one male employee came out front door lighting a cigarette, but it took over 2 minutes for the buzzer to be answered, and I ask where? and she said it was on it's way, A little over 3 minutes our food was delivered, We was supposed to have 2 cokes, we Got what tasted like Vanilla Coke, and a sprite/7up ??? As a Young Man I Worked in the Sonics in Giddings, La Grange, and Brenham, Texas, as Assistant Manager, and as Training Manager, At that time Sonic Was known for Service with the Speed of Sound!!! And you were Guaranteed, your order in 5 minutes, or it was free!!!!!! I see why Sonic does not advertise that anymore, with the service at Sonic's these days, Every Store would be Bankrupt in less...
Read moreTwice now, the tater tots, mozzarella sticks, and popcorn chicken tasted like cinnamon and sugar. The credit card machine wasn't working at the bay I was parked at, so while I waited for the carhop to return my card, I tasted a tot. All I tasted was salt and cinnamon sugar. Upon returning my card, I asked the carhop if they fried everything in the same oil as their cinnasnacks, and she said yes, but they hadn't made any that day. I told her the tater tots taste like cinnamon, so she asked if I wanted it remade. I said no thank you, it'll likely be fried in the same oil, and she said YEAH, PROBABLY. So, not only was most of the food not consumable, it was fried in OLD oil?
After getting home, and sitting down to eat the remainder of my food, we realized it wasn't just the tots that had been fried in cinnamon sugar tainted oil, the mozzarella sticks (which came with no marinara sauce) and the popcorn chicken all tasted the same. They fry the food in the same oil as cinnasnacks, but they hadn't made any that day. How old was the oil they used???
I thought, well at least the grilled cheese can save my hunger. Nope. It appeared they had been sitting out for hours. The bread wasn't toasted - just dry and stale, and the tiny portion of cheese wasn't melted. It was the equivalent of a large saltine cracker with a sliver of cheese (?).
What a complete waste of $33 for dumpster food I wouldn't...
Read moreThis was my first time going to this sonic and I have NEVER had such a negative experience before. I ordered a large strawberry water, my usual order that I make on my sonic runs and when I received my drink it looked nothing like my usual drink order. Usually the water has a pink hue due to the strawberries, but this looked just like regular water. I worked at sonic for 6 years throughout high school and college and know that even if you put the strawberries at the bottom, the water will still turn a little pink. I pushed the red button to let them know the drink looked like it didn't have any strawberries in it, the girl over the speaker tried to argue with me saying they were at the bottom. Even if they were at the bottom there must not have been enough for a large to make it the drink I ordered, so I asked her if she could add more. The carhop then came outside to my car, took the drink out and OPENED IT IN FRONT OF ME saying "yes there's strawberries in it, they are at the bottom." I could not BELIEVE my eyes, not only is that unsanitary, and something you should NEVER do in front of a customer, but we are in the middle of a PANDEMIC!! She had her mask and gloves on, but I was still so uncomfortable that she would open the drink in front of me outside my car and try to argue with me. Worst sonic...
