The pond has the best depth for toddlers. They can play and enjoy the water safely. The best part is that the water temperature is nice. I’ve taken my kids to many splash playgrounds, and water is usually freezing. But the frog pond is different, its a great temperature. Plus, there are 3-4 life guards on duty. I do advise water shoes, to avoid injury to their feet, because the floor is cement. Water guns are not permitted, neither floating devices. So, don’t even bother bringing. The park is opened from 11am-6lm (weather permitting). There is a small cafe (the cheeseburger is terrible, but the frozen lemonade is great), and there are other options such as French fries and chicken fingers. Bathrooms are average. There are some tables right in front of the pond and the bathroom/cafe - which is pretty cool, because you can have a seat, eat a snack, and easily see your child in the water. Next to the pond, there’s the tadpole playground, which also has a splash area. In addition, a carousel is next to te pond, on the opposite side of the playground. In summary, this is an awesome place to take your kids. There is a lot they can enjoy...
Read moreJust to take your shoes 👟 off and walk through the water 💦 to cool off and have some fun and be a kid again was relaxing and enjoyable. There are sprinklers for the kids to play with. The water 💦 is circulated and you can see the water bubbling up from vents along the edge of the pond. There was an attendant checking the water for debris. I found a stone 🪨 without stepping on it. My only concern was a parent who was letting her toddler play ▶️ with a diaper on instead of a Little Swimmer. The potential for the combination of the water being contaminated was a little disconcerting. There are at least two of the "🐸 Frogs on the Common" sculptures at the edge of the pond. The pond may have received its name 📛 from the legend that men during the Revolutionary War ate the...

If you’re going to stop here, go further and check out the ice skating rink, regardless of the season, it has water, and the park itself is a wonderful place to spend the afternoon with...
