First time customer as of 12/1/18. Ordered a small 'The Rancher' pizza. Chopped tomatoes, bacon, chopped crispy chicken tenders and ranch dressing (and I added extra cheese). My brother ordered a large half cheese, half pepperoni. $17.00. Mine was obviously a splurge. We were both fans. Mine looked and smelled really good. Tasted good too. My brother and I laughed because the little pizza box was so much heavier than his large pizza, which also created a heavy pizza box, but not as heavy as mine. Leftovers for sure for me, so I happily turned it into two dinners. Pictured attached is 'The Rancher' pizza from Same Old Place. Oh, and we parked right in front around 8:30 pm on a Saturday night. So that was convenient/nice too in J.P.!

Been trying as many pizza spots as I can in JP before I move. Stopped in for a quick lunch special. I got the 2 slice and a can special while my wife got a slice as well. It came out to about $13 which is a bit expensive compared to other pizza spots around the area. However, when the slices were served it made more sense. They were in fact, large slices. The crust was thin, struggling to handle the amount of cheese on the slices, but I was ready to tackle that challenge. In the end it was good, not top tier in JP, but the size of the slices and the amount of space there is inside the restaurant in case you want to sit and enjoy whatever meal you order made me enjoy the experience more.

I have fond memories of going here and picking pies up with my old man when he lived just down the road. Twenty years later and the recipe and quality haven't changed, which I am pleased to see. I would agree with other reviewers that it's on the pricey side, $10 for two slices and a can of soda. However, JP is a trendy neighborhood and all spots on centre street demand high prices. Having to sub elementary school dance down the road to make ends meet and with my life crumbling all around me, I was more than happy to forfeit ten dollars for a slice of nostalgia, or two.

I have been going to Same Old Place for over 30 years. During the pandemic, I have continued to patronize Same Old Place by ordering for delivery but have had some sour experiences: cold pizzas when delivered; the wrong item delivered. I complained each time, and they resolved the matters, even sending another pizza to replace the cold one one time. Even so, the replacement was not hot. Unfortunately, my days as a satisfied customer are over. I had a humiliating experience this evening when I had called to place an order for a pizza. The order-taker, Macho, took my credit-card number. I told him that the expiration date was 03/22, but he had keyed in 3/25. Therefore, I gave him my credit-card number a second time, and when he asked for the security code, I told him that it was 197 instead of 195. At that point, he asked me to repeat all the numbers again, which I was willing to do. But then, he turned rude and said that he was not going to take any order from me. He has known me for years. He called me a troublemaker for my having complained -- legitimately -- in the past. He hung up on me. I called back. He hung up again. I called back a third time. He hung up on me yet again. When I'd called a fourth time, he told me that he was not going to take any order from us. All I'd wanted to do was order a Hawaiian pizza, but due to Macho's rudeness, it devolved into his...

Pros:

Pizza and mozzarella sticks were decent. Cashier was nice.

Cons:

The two slice special with drink is the same price as the items individually. What makes it special? At $2.75 for what looked like an 8 oz. cup of soda, it seems a little ridiculous to get charged $1.00 for a single refill after spending almost $20 for just the special and mozzarella sticks. The manager (owner?) kept giving me hard stares and both he and and another older employee (maybe his wife?) made me feel like I wasn’t even welcome there. I was dining in by myself on a Sunday around 7 p.m. and the place was mostly empty. No one brought me my mozzarella sticks or announced they were ready. By the time I came up to check on them at the counter, they had been sitting for awhile. Even the best mozzarella sticks lose tastiness fast when cold. The marinara for the mozzarella sticks was disgusting. I didn’t see anyone wash their hands or wear gloves while handling food, even after touching money. I had massive stomach issues later in the night but I can’t say for sure if it was because of this place or not. While the pizza was decent, the crust was burned and partially inedible.

I definitely won’t...

We'd never even heard of Same Old Place before seeing it on the app Grub Hub and were very interested. There were so many options for my husband and I and we don't have similar tastes! From pasta, salads, and vegetarian dishes for me to all sorts of sandwiches, wings, and desserts for him as well as pizza and paninis for both we had to try. I got a tomato mozzarella olive panini, he got a Best Beef sandwich and we split a special with one cheese one pepperoni slice and a soda and we were blown away with all the food!! My panini was huge and delicious, his sandwich was packed with meat and melty cheese and our slices were each as big as two slices with thin crust which we love. Everything was delicious and we will definitely order again and try...
