0 stars. Came to this Dorchester location this morning and bought two quarts of clam chowder. When I got home and family had a taste, it was clear that it tasted funny, like it was spoiled. We have been coming here for years ordering clam chowder many times with no issues. So we called and spoke to Bill. He put us on hold and when he came back he told us that the soup is fine. When we asked to speak to a manager, he told us the manager wasn’t in today but we can come in tomorrow and talk to the manager. We assured him the soup did not taste fine but he wouldn’t listen and hung up on us. When I called him back, he refused to talk about the soup. I drove back to the store, went to the cash register and asked for a refund. The person at the cash register immediately gave me a refund without question and even apologized. When we asked if a manager was in, she stated he is. When we asked if it was Bill, they said no - Matthew is the manager and Bill is the owner.

I was brought to this location with a family member who indicated that this location was the place to see, shop, and eat. I decided to try one of the Italian subs. Read moreStopped in at Lambert's on Sunday morning July 10th and ordered three Italian subs with mayo and everything on each sub. Received my three sandwiches and they felt very light and they looked small. Paied for my sandwiches, went to my car and opened one of them and was disappointed to see how small it was and it had very little anything on it, keep in mind I wanted everything on my sandwiches as I've had them before with all the fixings and we're not made that way. I called into the store for my car and spoke to the very helpful deli manager (the distinguished gentleman with the mustache) and he asked me to come back in and made new Saturday for me and they are just as I like them. I offered him the first three back and he said no please keep them which I thought was very kind but I wasn't surprised because the service has always been great. Lambert's has always been one of my favorite places when I wanted sandwiches, need to buy seafood, meat or poultry that was of the best quality or if I wanted a hot meal that felt like home.
