Cool cut. I believe they speak Cantonese? Just keep that in mind if you want to visit, or plan another mode of communication. For me, I was w/ a couple Chinese friends, so it turned out fine.

The guy was blunt. I wanted a very short cut, and he advised something just a touch longer because it wouldn't look good for my face shape. I am very happy with what I have after his advice, and have been receiving compliments since :) I went from very long hair to something close to a standard boy cut, and it looks and feels great.

I've seen reviews about hair pulling or being too rough. It was very normal for me, and I am admittedly delicate in bones lol. He just guided my head to tilt in different directions for snipping away. I see no problem with it.

Overall two very kind people. The place may not appear busy, but it's a walk-in with people who frequent. When I was there w/ my friends, many people came in, but since there were six of us, I believe they left to come by later. Reasonable enough, haha.

It's cheap, quick and efficient. I did just the cut, and it took 10 minutes at most, with the majority of that time spent on discussing the cut, because a style so short was very new to me. He talked about hair styling, how customizable it could be, etc. It was all valuable insight for me!

Come by with an idea. Have a picture of yourself, or multiple of possibilities that you want to try. They do have picture books of hairstyles if you are still not sure, though.

I was okay with his attitude when he was cheaper, now the price is equivalent with other barbers in Chinatown with worst attitude and cut. The other comments about pulling hair is super real. Idc if he’s just not oiling his blades but EVERY SINGLE TIME I go in my hair is constantly getting pulled. Also he make sure to point out that the prices does not include tip like multiple times. I showed up one day not knowing the price increase with only enough cash to cover the cut. He refused to give me a cut even when the entire saloon is empty. I had gotten a few cuts before and has always tipped him. Would NOT accept electronic transfer and said there’s nothing he could to other than telling me to go to the ATM.
