I was extremely disappointed by the unprofessional conduct of the staff throughout my entire experience at this venue. From the beginning, it was clear that the staff were ill-equipped to handle basic tasks. They were unable to scan the digital tickets provided by Ticketmaster, causing unnecessary delays and confusion.
The lack of professionalism continued after the show began. While a "no re-entry" policy was supposedly in place, it seemed to apply to everyone except the staff's friends, who were allowed to come and go as they pleased, presumably to smoke. It also appeared that most of the door staff left after the show started, leaving no one to monitor the entrances.
During the intermission, several staff members took seats at the front of the venue. While this wouldn't have been an issue in itself, one staff member sat next to us and proceeded to remove their shoes and eat a chocolate cake throughout the performance. This was incredibly distracting and disrespectful to both the performer and the paying audience.
To make matters worse, a staff member walked down the aisle multiple times during the show and loudly announced that no video or photos were allowed. This was completely unnecessary as no one was taking photos, and their loud pronouncements disrupted the performance.
Overall, the staff's unprofessional behavior significantly detracted from my enjoyment of the show. I would strongly advise management to address these issues to ensure a better experience for...
Read moreWent to see John Prine at the Shubert and I have to say it's the worst theater in Boston. Sat in the balcony and the rows are so tight anyone of moderate height will have less space than in economy on modern airplanes. I'm 5'6" and I was squished. The gentleman's knees behind us kept hitting my wife's head.
Also, don't expect to get a bottle of water during the show. I went to the concessions about half way through the show and was told quite rudely "the bar is closed". When I stated that I was not drinking beer and merely wanted a bottle of water I was told "we have no water". I pointed out the bottles of Polar seltzer in the fridge behind them. The two concession agents then told me it was the artist's request to shut down concessions. I don't believe that for a minute. Maybe John Prine asked them to stop serving beer? That makes sense. I hadn't had ONE drink that evening and merely wanted to drink some water.
If your favorite artist comes to town and you have to go to a show here beware. My advice is skip this venue and drive outside the city to see whoever you're interested in. There are plenty of other great venues in...
Read moreI recently went here for the first time ever. I wish my experience was a bit more pleasant unfortunately it wasnt. I had asked for guidance to my exact seats. I was shown exactly to my seats, i sit and the show begins. When i was interupted and asked to move because i was in the wrong seats! By the same exact person who showed me to my seats. I was treated very disrespectful and i was made me feel as if i did this intentionally.. I Sat in my rite seats afterwards when i pulled my phone out to look at the time. When that same person employee who told me i was in the wrong seats points his flash light at me and screams at me no cell phones repeatedly and stands over me so rudely and ingnorantly!!. There is a diffrent approach to a situation like this and i was sitting next to an exit. I could have been told and asked nicely to step outside. Considering i did nothing wrong at all!. Doesnt take a genius to figure this out. The staff needs more training when they work with the public. Teach them common coutesy, especially learning there way around theatre a lil better when they cant even direct me to...
