TJHair Salon — Local services in Boston

I would give zero star if I could. It is hands down the worst haircut and salon experience in my life. First of all, the door was jammed and i had to call the number twice to enter. Secondly, the hair treatment machine wasn’t working for 20 minutes. So I ended up sitting on the chair for the duration and no one bothered to check on me. Then the machine was steaming hot and burned me. I really should have left at that point.

Anyway they promised to wash my hair once it’s cooled off, and obviously they forgot to check on me again. So I waited for another 15 minutes with wet hair on me. At this point it had been an hour since the beginning of my appointment, but despite that I had to wait for another 15 minutes for him to finish cutting some else’s hair. The haircut turned out to be uneven with my left side being half an inch shorter. And what’s more infuriating about the experience is he forced me to tip and didn’t really apologize at all for a negative experience. He simply said oh sorry it’s a busy day. The fact is that they don’t know how to use the hair treatment machine, and had no service attitude to make customers feel...

It was the best haircut experience that I have ever had over the past five years. I have been dealing with my hair on my own for a long time, without visiting any salon, which makes my hair quite thick not long though. CJ is very professional for my curly dry thick hair, and I am very satisfied with the layers and length. He is very patient explaining what hairstyles suit best for me and how to manage your hair afterwards. Overall it’s a great experience, I think I will definitely come back again if I visit Boston...

Consider avoiding this salon if good service matters to you. My recent experience there was terrible, despite their seemingly high rating. The washroom was disgustingly dirty, the staff were rude and unprofessional, and my hairstylist was particularly bad.
