I had a really awful experience. I reserved a gel polish with French tip. First off my technician didn’t even know I wanted a French tip, and then didn’t buff my nails or trim properly and brutalized my fingers, I actually bled a little after service. She rushed and was staring off in the distance the entire time like she didn’t want to be there which made me really uncomfortable and didn’t put enough layers into the gel or any care into the French tip which made it bubble up at the tips and soak deep under my nails. And then at the end she took a filer and coarse filed my tips which broke the seal and made them crack open. For 70$ (I didn’t even get extensions or anything) this is horrendous and I was even given attitude when I didn’t tip according to expectation at the end. Never coming back.

Honestly was one of my worst pedicures. For the price to be so much higher than other nail salons you would expect top notch service. This is not the case. I got the deluxe pedicure which was supposed to be an hour… I was in the salon at 12:00, I got seated at 12:08 and was out the door by 12:45. The massage portion of the pedicure was basically non existent. I expected at least my nails to be immaculate for a pedicure that costs $104 with tip but my nails didn’t even look that nice. My toes still had a large amount of cuticle left and I don’t think the polish came out that nice. Will definitely stick to suburban nail salons over the city ones!

I recently had the pleasure of getting my nails done by Jolia for the Lunar New Year, and I am absolutely thrilled with the results! Jolia is incredibly talented and created the most adorable and intricate Lunar New Year designs. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and comfortable. Jolia is friendly, professional, and clearly passionate about her work. I gave her creativity freedom to do her own design on my nails. The entire experience was relaxing and enjoyable. Jolia's attention to detail is impeccable, and my nails look stunning. I'm already planning my next visit! I highly recommend booking with Jolia! You won't be disappointed.

My review went from 5 stars to 1 star in a matter of 48 hours.

When I got my gel manicure on Saturday, I enjoyed my experience. However, I had two nails that were pretty cracked and had asked for those to be trimmed and to have an extension added instead. The technician said she could solve it via nail tape, so we tried that and it seemed to work fine so I was cool with it.

12 hours later, both nails that had had nail tape used on them cracked. I thought, no problem, I’ll go and get them fixed.

When I went back the next day to get them fixed, the lady at the front was pretty rude with me in terms of scheduling, and said they wouldn’t be able to get me in to any location until the following day. As a working mom whose husband travels all the time, it wasn’t ideal but Monday was essentially the last day I could get it done before my husband had to leave again, at which point I would have no time available for the week given I will be with my toddler. So, I agreed to the appointment the next day, and emphasized I needed an extension on the nails and for the gel to be redone. The lady at the front confirmed that with me.

The next day, i leave work early to come back before I have to rush to get my child from school. Everything seemed fine until they started to do the gel with no extension. The receptionist came and told me they hadn’t booked me with the extension and no one could help me.

Having to go back 3x in 3 days and still not have the issue resolved is extremely frustrating. especially when she tried to place the blame on me for my calendar being busy as a working mom. I left after 3 tries with my nails still broken before an important meeting tomorrow, and had to buy press on nails as a last resort.

When i brought it to their attention the second time they made me feel like it was my fault again for not scheduling correctly even though i confirmed it and had 8 other nails that were longer than though two so obviously needed an extension on it.

Needless to say, I will never be going back to MiniLuxe and do not recommend it if you like to be treated in a...

I came here to receive a Brazilian wax (and underarm wax), but unfortunately I did not have a positive experience. I’ve received Brazilian waxes in the past, and have never experienced that amount of pain. After the Brazilian wax, I experienced skin damage and excess bleeding. I was in pain in my bikini and private area for several weeks and I had to visit my doctor multiple times to evaluate.

Admittedly, I went into this experience feeling very nervous because I was seeing a new wax specialist for the first time. At the same time, I was excited to have a wax specialist just a few blocks away from home. Ultimately, the overall customer service during the wax was severely lacking. I know this can be subjective, and it’s always possible to misunderstand someone’s mood or warmth towards you. But during the appointment it felt like my wax specialist was just trying to get the appointment over with. Whatever the reason for that vibe, the excess pain and damage from the appointment made that feel even worse.

As many can probably relate to, receiving a Brazilian wax is a vulnerable experience. This was definitely the opposite of my past experiences at other establishments. I attempted to reach out to MiniLuxe about my concern, but I never heard back from them. Which seems to underscore their lack of care...

Very disappointed in the Prudential teceptionist/manager that beside she is not professional at all she lied to me. Today, 10/19/2016, at 6:30pm got to Prudentusl place and asked to get gel manicure, the receptionist told me that they are booked until 9pm but she can recommend the Newbury st one. The only available time she told me was for 7:30pm, an hour usually is not a big deal, she even specified it's just an hour. I accepted. I walked around, tired, trying to find to do something and go to the other place for my gel manicure. I got at the Newbury place at 7:10pm, and for my surprise the nice receptionist tells me that my appointment is at 8:15pm, that's the time Prudential receptionist/manager made the appointment (i thought is a joke). The Prudential receptionist didn't even had the respect to call me and let me know about the change in appointment, being a frequent costumer and have my number in the system. Everyone's time is important. And I hope the Prudential receptionist understands from where her salary comes from. Definitely you lost...
