I had a botched bleach job somewhere else and couldn't get an immediate appointment at other salons, so I walked in here, hoping for quality control as I had already gone over my budget. I mainly wanted an Olaplex treatment, but also expertise on the color and if it was that bad. Everyone was very nice and helpful at first, and said they could do something.
It became evident that the guy doing my hair didn't seem to have any knowledge about colors and tones. They said they would make my hair a more natural blonde, but the first toner turned my hair a light copper all over. He talked me out of the Olaplex treatment (I got the impression that they didn't even have it) and instead gave me a random hair mask.
When I expressed my dislike on the color, I noncommittally asked if a slightly darker ash would suit me better or if we should leave it. The guy didn't seem to understand me and thought I was asking for it. He did not know what color to choose on his own and seemed very lost without another stylist's opinion; he was going to use a permanent color if the other stylist didn't stop him. At the end it was instead toned dark brown. I was told it would fade to the darker blondish ash result later, but it faded into a dark red/orange + very patchy almost immediately that I still haven't been able to get out.
After the blow drying, I was told there was not much that could be done in the first place, since the first salon didn't do it properly - but I don't know why they didn't tell me that from the start and focus on hair repair I asked for, rather than messing around with colors that they knew wouldn't work for me.
I wouldn't even care to write a review if it wasn't for the checkout experience. I was charged for the first toner that didn't turn out, which felt more insulting than anything and made no sense to me. I was also charged for the hair mask that was pointless since my hair was processed again after it was applied... although that was slightly more understandable than being charged for the first toner. After chatting with them during the appointment about how much I was ripped off at the other salon, my impression was that they saw me as a gullible wallet testing how much more money they could get from me at the checkout. I understand it is a business, but if you know you can't help someone then simply turn them away, or tell them what services they actually need in the first place and be upfront about...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to Konstantina in summer of 2022. I asked for a full balayage, something I was saving up to do for months. When I went to do the test strand my hair lifted beautifully and I came in the next day to get the balayage done and honestly it was just horrible. The outcome was nothing like the pictures I showed and my hair was unblended, and streaky. I didnāt notice how it looked at first because I wanted to save $50 on a blowout so I went home and noticed how it looked. It felt like there was no effort put into making it look good. I was actually so heartbroken and my confidence was ruined. After I texted Konstantina, I ended up coming back in for a root melt and although it looked a world better, it was still streaky and not at all what I asked for, and I paid $330 dollars. Iām writing about this now because itās been well over 2 years and my hair is still damaged- something I wouldāve been OK with if it ended up pretty. Konstantina is a sweet person. I did my thorough research before choosing a hair stylist and I donāt know what happened with me because it seems like everyone else is happy with the work she...
