⭐⭐⭐⭐ "Good" Back Bay Social: A Tale of Two Experiences - Disappointing Comedy, Delightful Cuisine 🍔🎭

My girlfriend and I decided to check out Back Bay Social's Thursday Night comedy special, hoping for a side-splitting evening of laughter and good food. 😄🍽️ Little did we know, we were in for a rollercoaster ride of emotions! 🎢😅

Service 🙋‍♂️ The staff at Back Bay Social were the unsung heroes of the night. 🦸‍♂️🦸‍♀️ Despite the lackluster comedy, they kept the show running smoothly, ensuring that the evening flowed as well as it could. 👍 Their attentiveness and professionalism shone through, even when the jokes fell flat. 😐

Decor 🎨 Back Bay Social's decor is exactly what you'd expect from a classic sports bar. 🏈🥊 It's nothing fancy, but it gets the job done. 😉 The space is comfortable and unpretentious, perfect for grabbing a bite and catching a game with friends. 🍻📺

Food 🍽️ Now, here's where Back Bay Social really surprises! 😲 I'll admit, I had my doubts about the food quality at a dive bar/sports bar, but boy, was I wrong! 😋 My Mediterranean bowl was a flavor explosion, with perfectly seasoned ingredients that left me craving more. 🥗😍 My girlfriend's burger was equally impressive, juicy and cooked to perfection. 🍔🤤 The food at Back Bay Social is a hidden gem, and I'd gladly return just for another taste of their delicious offerings. 🙌

In Retrospect 🤔 Our night at Back Bay Social was a mixed bag, but ultimately, the positives outweighed the negatives. 😌 While the comedy special was a disappointment, with crude, sexual, and sexist humor that didn't land with the crowd 😬, the exceptional service and unexpectedly delicious food saved the evening. 🙏 I've heard great things about their comedy nights, so I'm willing to give it another shot, if only for the chance to savor their mouthwatering dishes once more. 🤗

Not their best day.... I just left BBS after my coworkers got lunch. I say co workers bc I didn't get to eat. I arrived a couple minutes after the group. At that point they had ordered and it took our waiter almost 15 minutes to come back around before I could flag him down to take my order. Knowing my order was way behind the others, I picked a salad with chicken, so it would come out quickly... it still took 15+ minutes (we were 1 of 2 tables in there at the time) and then came out with the wrong dressing (I even ordered I ton the side knowing wrong dressing is a common mistake... it was smothered). I sent the salad back, and the waiter blamed it on the kitchen rushing my food out. They offered to make me something else "quickly" but at that point I had already ordered my first meal in a to go box as it had taken so long and wasn't going to have my co workers wait. I'm not sure if the error was the waiter or the kitchen, but I know had I been approached when I sat down, it all would have been avoided. We went here on a Sunday evening and it was still relatively lively, but not overly so, so we were able to relaxed and chat. The entire bar/restaurant has a pretty cool look to it with lots of wood as and a big bar. It has a comfortable relaxed feel.

Our party ended up order a smattering of food, and most of it was pretty good. Their pretzels sticks were good, however you do not get many of them. The cheese and mustard that come with the pretzels are fantastic. The clam chowder was okay, it lacked the flavor that a lot of other places have. The fries are very very salty, almost I edible so! The mac and cheese was good and a fair portion , it had a surprising little kick of spice that was nice. The mussels were quite good, everyone enjoyed that.

The host was extremely nice, but the waiter was just okay, he never refilled our drinks until we pointedly asked him to do so, which was doubly frustrating with very salty fries. He seemed unsure when taking our order by memory, not the most...
