Don't join as a member! It's like the Hotel California - you can join anytime you like but you can never leave. They make it complicated to find out how to cancel, delaying the process so they can continue to collect monthly fees while you are seeking the secret, and once you have figured out the request must be made in writing, they then counter your email with another email asking if you are sure. Even once they finally accept you are leaving, they don't just charge you for their contract remaining 30 days but make you pay for an additional 30 days. Ie - you tell them on the 1st that you want to cancel your membership but you actually originally joined on the 27th - they then charge you another month's fee on the 27th because your notice to cancel did not come within 30 days of your monthly charge date - so you really ended up giving them 57 days notice. But my main complaint is the way they bury the reality of the cancelling process. Post how to end memberships on your website Barre. I hope the extra $199 they extracted for my college student daughter alerts many of you to the risks of membership here. Classes are fine - pay by the class and avoid joining. Or better yet - workout in a place that has better...
Read moreWARNING: STAY AWAY. MISLEADING. I was targeted on the purebarre app for a “deal” of a class pack after I went to my first class at the Harvard Square location. I had no idea I purchased a class pack at the Boston studio or that these studios were disconnected. I have the same email, name, phone, etc at both studios, but apparently different accounts???? There is no information on the app that you have to purchase for a specific studio, you just have to know this and your confirmation will be in the emailed PDF attached to your purchase receipt. I spoke with Rachel, the GM of Boston studio, who was incredibly rude and unhelpful and refused to refund me because I purchased three weeks ago before I went on spring break. May $300 wasted from me be your warning: there are many other work out studios in the Boston area, DON’T go to purebarre. Your experience (and frankly, workout) will be better spent elsewhere. Will also be sharing this review in the Harvard and MIT communities to warn...

The girls who also attended were super nice and fun too. Overall such a wonderful atmosphere ! Xoxo thank you purebarre for this...
