I am beyond frustrated with Best Buy and Geek Squad. After spending over $5,000 on a Canon R5 camera with a lens and purchasing the Total Tech plan, I expected much better service. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing short of a nightmare. My camera developed hot pixels, which I clearly explained to the employee. For context, hot pixels are bright spots on the image sensor that remain even when no light is hitting them, unlike dead pixels on an LCD which are just black. Despite my clear explanation, they incorrectly recorded the issue as "dead pixels" on the LCD. This is not the same problem! I attached a copy of the paperwork they gave me the day I brought it in. I specifically requested that my camera be sent to Canon for repair, and the employee confirmed it would be. To my shock and dismay, I later discovered they shipped it to some third-party "camera repair" place with a dismal 2.3-star rating instead of Canon. This was a significant breach of trust. When I brought up the fact that they submitted it under the wrong issue, they assured me it would be tested upon arrival. I then asked how they planned to do that since they instructed me not to include the battery, memory card, or lens. The employee responded, "You're right, we won't be able to test it." So, I spent $104.00 on a "service repair," which was not due to my fault or negligence, and they can't even tell me if it's repaired until I pick it up. Throughout the process, I was unable to access my order details online because my order number and case number mysteriously changed. No one at Best Buy, either in-store or on the tech support/customer service line, could explain why. This was incredibly frustrating and added to my stress. When I asked if they could submit a ticket to investigate, they said there was nothing they could do. Due to this lack of transparency and communication, I couldn't track any updates on what the "repair" service did or didn't do. Even in-store, they couldn't tell me if my camera was fixed, only that it was being shipped back to the store. This entire process has been a disaster. I've spent thousands on this camera only to encounter a manufacturer defect, and I've lost money and wages because I can't use it for my photography business. Geek Squad employees are clearly not trained well enough to understand the difference between hot pixels and dead pixels, even after explaining it in person. And the fact that my case number was switched without any explanation has made this experience even worse. Save yourself the headache and go to a more knowledgeable and reliable retailer.

Extremely disappointed with the service at Best Buy. Brought my car in to have an amplifier installed, and not only did they fail to properly install it, but it also blew a fuse immediately after leaving the store. Now I have $1k+ down the drain amps and speakers are both blown. George said they covered anything they messed up but they lied!! Wouldn’t let us even speak to the installer again. Avoid their installation services at all costs! Don’t go to them for a mf thing!

I am only giving them a single star because there isn't an option for zero.

Arrived at 7:45 with intention of purchasing a 65" TV and one somewhat smaller as well as 3 soundbars.

Maybe I should have thought of arriving earlier but life has been very hectic since my current home was purchased by a local developer and I have purchased a new home. Suddenly I find myself trying to furnish the new home and vacate my home of 40 years, with a pocket full of cash to do it with.

In April, I purchased my first 65" TV from Best Buy with some degree of satisfaction. Finding that today's TVs aren't intuitively compatible with the reciever I purchased from Best Buy in 2009 for more than $1200, I went one afternoon to purchase new HDMI cables, digital optical cables etc based on advice I received from sales. I also wanted a new BluRay player.

It was the middle of the afternoon and no one waited on me. They saw me but ignored me. At one point a lady came by who was also shopping. I asked if anyone had been helping her and she replied that she didn't think anyone worked there.

Finally, I made my own choices, paid and left.

Back to my most recent experience. Pocket full of cash, have new home to furnish, want 2 TV's and 3 soundbars. After my last experience, I stopped first at customer service and told the lady that I was going to need help with TV's and Soundbars.

Arriving quickly in front of the large screen TV's, a polite yet completely ignorant of the products young salesman met me there. I give him 5 stars for his attitude. I wish I knew his name.

My mind had been made up about the new 65" TV and 2 of the Soundbars.

We moved back to TVs so he could assist me in choosing a smaller TV.

I learned that employees wear earbuds when he said, "They are telling me that we are closed". I asked what time it was and he replied 2 minutes after 8. I asked what time they closed because I was thinking 9. He replied 8 but that he wasn't in a hurry.

I honestly told him to tell Management (I assumed) that he was assisting a paying customer who arrived before closing. He did and we turned back to choosing the 2nd TV.

Very shortly, a young lady showed up to remind me that they were closed.

As politely as possible, I told her that she had the wrong attitude concerning customer service and to stop being a clock watcher.

She went away and again I turned my attention to a second TV.

Very quickly another lady showed up to insist that the store was closed and that I had to leave. Can we say RUDE!!!

Now, I wasn't feeling very nice and admit there was nothing polite about my response.

I told her in no uncertain terms that she had a piss poor attitude towards customers and that when they closed, they should lock the doors and not let other customers in....but wait on buying customers that arrived before closing.

She again insisted that I leave. So I did. Post haste, telling her that I might as well order my TV's and Soundbars from Amazon (something I have been trying not to do because I don't want to see local businesses run out of business.)

2 new sounbars have been delivered by Amazon as of today and I bought the 65" TV in Owensboro's Best Buy yesterday.

Amazon will be delivering the third soundbar and 50" Samsung Q60B TV soon.

If Best Buy Bowling Green's goal is to go out of business, they are well on their way.

I...

Best Buy Customer Service

James Dewayne Shaw

as far as Best buy goes their prices are a little steep on some things but most of mainly they are the best quality around you cannot beat their customer service it is impeccable the people that work there are the most friendly people that I've ever encountered I would like to have them as personal friends they're such good people and the prices are a little higher than some things but most things they're very well priced and their customer service is the best on the planet especially if you get the Best buy plus program which gives you a lot of advantages over normal customer and I will soon be getting that because it has awesome advantages nobody else has they have always treated me like family and I hope they never move from bowling Green Kentucky I've been to other best buys it all over the world not out of the world but all over the country and the one in bowling Green Kentucky is absolute number one best they stand behind their products like no other company on the planet if there's anything wrong with it they'll gladly give you a refund or replace it no questions asked that's why it's well worth what you pay for because of the quality and the customer service that comes behind every single product that walks out the door with you I strongly advise anybody that needs anything try Best buy first always no matter what five stars all day long if I could give them 20 Stars I would
