Crafty Crab is an absolute gem in the world of seafood dining! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Here's why I can't stop raving about my experience:
The star of the show at Crafty Crab is undeniably the seafood boils. I ordered the "Crafty Special" and was blown away by the burst of flavors in every bite. The crab legs were tender, the shrimp succulent, and the combination of spices and garlic butter sauce was pure magic. It's the kind of meal that leaves you craving more even after you've cleaned your plate.
What sets Crafty Crab apart is not only the quality of their seafood but also the variety of choices. Whether you're a fan of crawfish, crab, shrimp, or a mix of them all, you'll find something to satisfy your cravings. And if you're dining with non-seafood enthusiasts, there are options like chicken tenders and wings that are just as delicious.
The service at Crafty Crab is top-notch. The staff is attentive, friendly, and genuinely cares about your dining experience. They're more than willing to explain the menu and offer recommendations, making newcomers feel right at home.
The ambiance here strikes the perfect balance between casual and lively. It's an ideal spot for family gatherings, group outings, or a fun date night. Just be prepared for a bit of noise, as the restaurant can get busy during peak hours.
While Crafty Crab may not be the most budget-friendly option, the quality and generous portions make it worth every penny. It's a place where you can treat yourself to a memorable seafood feast.
In conclusion, Crafty Crab deserves all the accolades it receives. With its exceptional seafood boils, friendly service, and vibrant atmosphere, it's a must-visit for anyone who appreciates top-notch seafood. I can't wait for my next visit to savor those incredible...
Read moreMy first visit. The wait staff was polite, if unenthusiastic. The tables are set rustically, with rolled out paper for tablecloths and a roll of paper towels for napkins. I ordered Snow Crab legs. They arrived on a small metal tray and in a tall inflated plastic bag. This was unceremoniously placed in front of me as was a second tray with a bib, plastic gloves, a cracker, PLASTIC utensils, and a wet wipe. My crab legs resided at the bottom of this bag in a pool of salmon colored liquid. I had to summon the wait staff to ask how to proceed. She offered "it's a seafood boil and handed me my bib and pointed out the huge plastic gloves. I advised I had not, in 71 yrs, ever had a meal presented in a plastic bag before and was uncertain of how I should proceed. In reply, she opened the top of the bag for me. I ordered my crab with mild butter and garlic sauce. While I remain skeptical about the color, the flavor was ok and accented with a few unidentifiable spices. I have a light appetite and ordered the half pound. I found the portion skimpy, when compared to that same entree at Red Lobster. There were 2 smallish whole red potatoes swimming at the bottom of the bag, with my crab. I didn't realize they were provided or I wouldn't have ordered the sweet potato fries that were merely adequate. I had to ask for a metal fork because the plastic one wasn't up to the task of extracting the meat from the shell. If you still insist on trying out this restaurant, don't order the iced tea- it was undrinkable. The check was modest enough, but not worth it given the size of the portion (this from someone who rarely ever finishes a plate of food). My advice- save your $. I have no...
Read moreOnly reason they get 2 stars is because the food was good but the service was terrible. First of all, the place was barely half full. We were seated for 10-15 minutes before someone came to the table and it was the hostess that came first to take our drink order. 3 minutes later the waitress comes. Then we go to order drinks again but they say there is no one at the bar so they’re only doing wine and soda etc. Mind you it’s only 8:30 and they close at 12. She came back with my beverage about 10 minutes later but then says there is no one at the bar to do the wine and she will be right back and we said ok. She came back 10 minutes later with the wine. So, we finally get to order after 40 minutes or so. Another 25 minutes go by before we get our food. We order steamed rice and the rice is cold so we ask for it to be reheated and she comes back and tells us sorry and that it will take 30 minutes for them to make another thing of steamed PLAIN rice. Who takes that long to make plain steamed rice?! Anyway, we asked for something faster, so we ordered sweet potato fries. We finished eating our food and we noticed she never brought us our sweet potato fries and she asked if there was anything else we needed, like desert. We said no but asked what happened to the sweet potato fries and she acted clueless and said ohh you want me to add an order and we said no, remember we asked for that instead of steamed rice and she said ohh yes and came back 2 minutes later with it in a to go box because we were about to leave. Didn’t offer to compensate us for it or anything. I would just go to the one in Lauderhill because the one in Boynton is...
