Don't waste your time here. This place as horrible customer service. An employee, who went by the name Dan/Dawn with dark skin, told another customer ahead of us "You can leave." and then told me and my mother "You can wait." and wouldn't help us. All because my mother told the customer ahead of us to write a letter to Dillards and not waste time with management. Well, management comes and makes the situation worse -- we enter a screaming match and the employee continues their behavior and acts smug, knowing they got away with their behavior. I called the employee a "smug jackass". I have no regrets -- you do not treat customers like this just because you didn't like what they said about how to write a formal complaint to Dillards. While I was definitely acting poorly and angry, they were provoking my anger with their smug attitude and the fact that the managers wanted to continue to escalate and make the situation worse. Do not waste your time here. Shop somewhere else. I have never, ever been treated so poorly. To anyone who reads this -- it was by the shoe department cashier, at 6:40pm on 7/6/2024. Every. Single. Employee. In this department needs to be fired. Even the managers on duty that day. I would have paid for two shirts -- my mom a pair of pants, and telling a customer to "you can leave"? that's ridiculous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER...
Read moreDillard's began as a department store founded in 1938 in Mineral Springs, Arkansas by William T. Dillard. Stores are primarily in Texas and Florida. Throughout the 1970's and 1980's they rapidly expanded as anchors in shopping malls. Through the years the Dillard family has maintained firm control over their company allowing them to thrive in a challenging retail landscape.
As of April 2020, Dillard's has operated 28 clearance stores including this one in the Boynton Beach Mall. The 265 regular department stores ship the clearance clothing at already 65% off to the Clearance Centers where the clothing is then marked down further to liquidate it. Clothing and accessories can include overstock, offseason, didn't sell well, or damaged items. They have men's, women's, and children's clothing.
The Boynton Beach mall may be dying but the Dillard's Clearance Center was hopping. They have a lot of inventory. I think the lowest price I saw was $7.99. They had a large selection of fancy occasion dresses for that low price. My favorite find was a Patricia Nash bag for $65 in the designer section that also had clothes by Free People and Tommy Bahama. If you are a bargain hunter and don't mind sifting through the racks, you just...
Read moreDon’t get me wrong, I absolutely love this store. Their prices are great, and you can really find some gems amidst the sea of racks. But what completely turns me off from this store are the associates during check out. In my most recent experience, I came up with just two items. Both cashiers were open, but no one acknowledged me for about 5 mins. Finally one of the girls motioned me over after she had finished her conversation with her coworker. Didn’t greet me, or ask if I found everything ok, but continued on with her conversation. She scanned one item in, and while holding my other item, started joking around with all her coworkers and another customer that had been ahead of me. I asked if she could scan my next item so I could pay and be on my way, and she rolled her eyes, said something in another language to her friends, they all laughed, and she finally decided to scan my second item. The cashier never said a word to me the entire time. And after over 10 minutes, I paid and ran out of there. HORRIBLE...
