Store #71: I understand that sometimes, it takes time to process orders for customers. What I don’t understand is the level of condescension with which these employees address their customers, it is unacceptable at best. I witnessed the manager/supervisor at the print/copy counter speak to an elderly gentleman as if he were a child. He was clearly able to comprehend her as an adult. This stores location is in Boynton Beach, an area of very elderly retired persons, many of whom do not know how to use a computer, that’s why some of them are in the store to begin with. The system of signing in via computer works only if everyone has access to said computer and only when all customers are made aware of the sign-in system. The supervisor was present, the que was at least 10 deep, people walked in, didn’t sign in but were helped anyway ahead of those already signed in and waiting. Apparently if you’re coming in to pick up an order you can skip the sign-in process and the que, no matter how long it takes to process the “just picking up an order”. I was there an hour before I was called, in that time, the supervisor who walked around the machines aimlessly, pretending to tidy up scrap paper and walk over to associates and whisper about the customers on que, never took a moment to advise those walking in that there was a sign-in process so, people stood there while those in the know, signed-in ahead of them. This store needs an overhaul of staff and there is no question as to why so many Office Depots are going out of business. Do yourself a favor- find another location for your office needs- this...

My two children and I were never greeted by any staff the whole time we were there, instead we were "watched by random workers" as we shopped. I was never greeted or thanked for my business, but the young clown that checked us out thought to break the ice by asking, "who am I going to beat over the head" with the wrapping paper I purchased, smdh. The other female clown at the register nearby just stared at my autistic child because she was making noises. Another clown of a worker tried desperately to assist the caucasian gentleman ahead of us, when the customer didn't go to his register, instead of calling us to the register he just walked away and left us standing in line. Office Depot needs to put thought into the ppl they hire, the ppl you hire are going to cause lawsuits and closed down locations. Choose your ppl wisely. I will NEVER recommend anyone go here, not even to use the bathroom. Customers deserve better, ALL customers.... ALL...
Read moreEvery time I’ve had a simple print job - it’s never been done right. The point of self service pick up is to be in/out. After I picked up the order, I got to my car to see my 2 documents and they were wrong. I ordered my print to be in color and on cardstock paper…. Instead I got black and white + standard paper. I had to go back in and wait on a 20 minute line to let them know that it’s wrong and show them the attached receipt that shows “cardstock and color”. The girl at the print desk said “oh yeah my co-worker did this one, she thought she messed up one of the jobs so that must’ve been it”…. Laughing. I was in a rush and frustrated with already wasting 30 minutes of my day for 2 simple printed documents. There was no apology, rather slow moving to get the job printed. I hate writing bad reviews & maybe the employees just don’t take their job seriously…. But it’s safe to say I’ve had enough messed up simple print jobs that I can no longer rely on Office Depot (in Boynton on Congress Avenue) for those services. Stick to Staples or any other...
