It's a long story, but important...
I cannot say enough good things about Juan! He knows his business, he's fair, he's honest!
My phone decided to take a swim!
Okay, I'm getting ahead of myself It took me 3 days to get it to work perfectly- Day 1. Saturday...It fell into the toilet (it was hot from the weather outside 😏🫠🤒🥴 I quickly retrieved it, put it under the dryer (a no- no!), went home for rice. No rice. Drive to metro- G-d awful, didn't really help, could've done more! She said Rice, 4 hours...I ran to whole Foods- the nearest grocery store. $10.00 for a bag... it was starting to get expensive. I wouldn't buy a new phone without trying to see if there was another way... and I desperately needed my SD card... Stuck it in the rice for hours... the phone was getting worse, I couldn't use it, the screen went black, but it still rang. I was hopeful. It was late. I was tired. Ifound my Old phone and thought I could use it. Day 2. Sunday- I went to Best Buy in Royal Palm. I'd been there last week for my laptop, which died. They were super nice (Royal Palm and 441) Agent Kuhn wasn't a licensed Samsung dealer. He suggested I go to the Best Buy in Boynton. I high- tailed it... I'm grateful to Bernardo for sending me here, U Break I Fix.
The process was a little complicated (I like to ask). So, for a set fee, Juan would fix it. He diagnosed it as needing a new glass and battery, and said he could save the SD card, which is what I really wanted! I left him my phone and went to metro around the corner... they were helpful, but expensive to reinstate a new phone as well as my old phone, but I had to get it done. While they said I could do it for no fee online, Metro wouldn't let me proceed BECAUSE I HAVE A USELESS PHONE!! ugh! Day 3. Monday- I go back to see Juan and my phone... was working! but not sure if it'd be 100% because I had to reinstate the phone number. I had to leave after Juan explained everything again (did I mention how patient he was?)...I paid him for saving the card, and went back (a40 minute ride) for an appointment. Afterwards, I went to another Metro- great team!... in Greenacres, by Jog and Forest Hill!, my phone number was reinstated, and it didn't cost as much as the other metro!! I needed a new SI card - it didn't come with the new (in locked, and upgraded) phone, which I bought at Best Buy in Boynton... Day 4. Tuesday, today...I came back to see Juan to finish downloading alhe apps! Like he promised... Now my new phone has everything, and I'm really happy! Could I have done it all differently? I don't know, but I do know where I'll be taking all my electronics...
Read moreI called this establishment prior to arriving to find out if what I needed was in stock. I was told they did have what I needed in stock and it would take about 2 hrs to replace a severely swollen battery that had started to liquefy. I arrived and things changed, the new battery was in stock, however received this really weird response that that bottom rear corner of phone was slightly cracked from the battery swelling and it "MUST", absolutely no way around it be replaced. They did not have the back of phone in stock here or at another location and it would be over a week to get the replacement cover. I tried to see if they would install new battery now and I would come back in when the new back cover came in. NO! I received this song and dance that this couldn't happen because the back of phone would break more and possibly fall apart when they tried to reinstall it, was told that it would have to undergo a waterproof test too, "this was all required by Samsung, no and ifs or buts. The phone was not under any type of warranty/service plan, it wasn't under any type of accident insurance either but yet these things were mandatory by Samsung not to mention this was well over 100 bucks to do all this. I ended up leaving and found another repair place on the North side of Boynton Beach Blvd East of Congress that changed the battery and reinstalled the original back cover without any issues took 15 mins and cost about 76 dollars, the phone is good as new, btw the back cover went on fine without falling apart or sustaining any more damage. I just didn't like to song and dance from this company I personally felt as if they were adding more unnecessary steps/itemd to jack up the repair cost. I didn't ask, want or care about waterproofing on a 3 year old phone I just needed new battery that wasn't on the verge of exploding. They gave me zero options everything was a must or mandatory...
Read moreTheir service is lacking "customer service". I was quoted one price, given a date the part they needed to order would come in...only to find out, after calling them to inquire is the repair finished, a worker advised the manufacturer they ordered the part from delivered the wrong part-which would delay the repair another 3-4 days...when I finally went to pick up my item, they tried to tell me a higher price, so I advised, shouldn't you be giving me a discount for the extra delay? then they did something screwy with the repair, cause the PIN number would not accept on my device and they caused me to have to call my phone company to factory reset my phone--hence losing everything on the phone. I'm definitely disappointed with their service, lack of customer service, and on top of that their crazy high prices...I asked them how much it would be to repair my Samsung A7 tablet screen, and they quoted me approximately $180+ dollars 😲 so I figured it was probably easier to just go buy another one. After all the years they've been open and expanded everywhere, I expected better from them. I'm not sure if this is something isolated to this location, but I decided, I'm not convinced they are...
