So many things. I arrived with my family (a party of four) 8pm. I was excited to come here because this place looks legit. We sit down, order drinks and go in pairs to get our food. My first stop was sushi. I wanted a tempura jb roll, simple enough but it wasn't there. I ask the little man behind the counter if he could make one and he said no. I asked him why not and he said the kitchen was closed. I asked him what time the restaurant was open until and he said 10 p.m. so I said why will you not make me the roll and he just said no. (He was a very little Spanish looking man with either a limited English vocabulary or a bad attitude). I promptly went to the manager and explained the situation. She was quick to go to the kitchen, so I returned to my table. 10 minutes later, I informed my waitress that I had ordered a role and the manager was taking care of it, would it be brought out to me or what I have to go to the bar and just grab a few pieces of it? She didn't understand. She was a teenage looking Asian girl, my first thought is how can any school- age girl not speak English. I tried three times to rephrase my question and finally she just got another waitress who told me to go up there and look for it, so I did. Here is when I got the most authentic experience ever! I asked a woman if she knew where I could find the role and she started pointing at a JB roll, that was not tempura. I said yes, I want exactly this, tempura, deep-fried, how ever you make it, not raw, please cook this roll right here. she started pointing at the roll and screaming at me in another language. I imagine she was saying something like "you eat this roll! This what you want! You eat this now!" Another customer comes up to me while this was happening and laughs that "this a nightmare." she had been waiting a half-hour for crab legs and they keep telling her that they are cooking. Meanwhile, I'm trying to explain to two different little Spanish men to please just cook this role and they keep telling me no. That's it, just no. So the manager comes up again and explains to the lady that was yelling at me and pointing at the roll to cook it and she takes the roll and goes back in the kitchen. She brings it back out a few minutes later smiling and I Pat her on the back and thank her five times. They finally bring out the crab legs and my boyfriend is unlucky enough to snag one. The manager was picking out pieces of I don't know what trying to keep the white rice white. She's the only one who cares about this place. The staff and cooks were terrible and the food was just as bad; it was worst sushi I've had and even the stample foods were less than adequate. Heading home we all talked about leaving reviews, but I don't think any of us really had any intention of it. I'm not one to leave a bad review unless it's really horrible. My boyfriend has had what I can only assume is food poisoning for the last three hours. I'm a review while he hovers over our toilet. I'm guessing it's from the crab legs. Go anywhere else. Really, do yourself a favor and...
Read moreBarely middle of the road and it wasn't clean. sure it looked clean on the pictures I took yet as my experience furthered into my visit the bathrooms were filthy the floors were filthy the sushi was a mess. which I wish I would have gotten a picture of. My mistake lately with pictures at buffet's are I've tried to enjoy my meals without the camera and picture taking. So that way I snap a few when I first come in. That will stop with this last visit. It's still horrifying to me 3 weeks later that I'm very much for a lack of a better word "icked" out by what we ate. I didn't feel good after about 2 hours and the next day I was just sick to my stomach all day. This was a hard pass for me as I enjoy buffet style restaurants. The price was great for what today's prices are but absolutely tasteless, and overly cooked in sauces which makes absolutely no sense. I just can't in good faith recommend or won't recommend. Now I also know they varry on some days. However the lack thereof attention from wait staff and the hurry hurry hurry bs when it's not crowded put it over the top for me. I'd rather go somewhere else and even pay more for attention to detail. A health inspector is way overdue for an inspection at this place. Now I thought 1 of 2 things when I walked in and saw the neater buffet lines by the entrance hit with an overwhelming smell of bleach. I thought ok well bleach is good. Yes if you're using properly and doesn't matter if the smell is there when the floors are so sticky the noise from your shoes is louder then the chatter of all the folks there. Again just super disappointed however there are many other buffets from wpb down to lantana I'd just rather eat at. I went in with a open mind and empty stomach I came out just disgusted. We try we like or don't and who knows maybe that was just the day everything went wrong. I mean the sticky floors definitely took more than a few days to get that...
Read moreAs soon as I walk in I wanted out..I was with my disabled brother and it was a production just to get in the place...so we stayed...I should have gone with my gut...no host or hostice in front to seat us. Some guy came walking..talking at us, I could not understand what he was saying and passed us. I thought it was just another person eating there talking to a friend he may have been with or himself, when he continued to shout from accross the room the same thing. Then I realized he works there & was talking to me, telling me to sit anywhere I want. Once he realized my brother had a walker as we made our way to a table that was very close to the front & the food so he ( my brother) did not have to walk far to the food. This man rushed over and insisted we sit in a back booth so the walker would not be in the way of other people. I tryed to explain the walker folds up & walking a far distance is an issue for my brother .The back booth was too far..he did not care..he was pushy & rude..."u sit..u sit here...no in the way...no bother other people"!!! The place was run down..we sat by windows that were soo dirty the glass was yellow..our table was wobbly...food was cold...the consistency of the Egg Drop soup was too thick, the noodles for the soup were stale. Everything about the place was wrong. I love going to all you can eat Chinese Buffet's, my regular place is in Deerfield off Fed and my brother & I are there at least 2/3 times per week..The place in Deerfield has no problem with hanicap patrons, they have it set up for folks in wheelchair's, scooters, walkers ect...but I made a move to Boynton and needed to find a new place. I took a gamble and went here...MAN What A Shock...how this place is still serving food is beyond me. Never again. The only way to describe this place in one word......
