I'm not sure what's happened with this Chuck E. Cheese, but it's clearly gone downhill due to poor management. I recently booked a party for my son, expecting everything to be organized for 10 kids. Unfortunately, it was a complete disaster. The venue was so unorganized—our table wasn't set properly, and cups and hats were missing. To make things worse, they didn’t even have enough goodie bags for all the kids.
I arrived at 1:15 PM for the party and informed the staff, but by 1:45 PM, still no one had attended to us. I had to approach a staff member who promised someone would come over, but it took even longer before anyone did. I also placed an order for extra food and drinks for the adults, but we never received the drinks or the extra food. When I asked about it, they claimed the chicken wings were still in the oven, but later, they admitted they had never even put the order in!
To top it off, the air conditioner was broken, making it unbearably hot inside. The kids were sweating and uncomfortable. When I spoke to the manager, I was told the AC had been broken for weeks and was still awaiting repairs. It was so bad I think the place should be shut down until they can fix these issues.
The manager was no help at all. I was told I'd be refunded for four kids that I was overcharged for, but later the manager denied this, saying I kept adding cards, which wasn’t true. I had only added cards for the trampoline, which was meant for eight kids. The entire experience was so inconvenient, I didn't want to deal with it anymore.
To make matters worse, we were supposed to have a host for the party, but we ended up serving the kids ourselves. And did I mention the soda machine wasn’t working? Drinks were included in the package, but they couldn’t provide them. All they offered was a 20% discount on the bill, which didn’t come close to making up for the issues.
As if that wasn’t enough, the party was nearly over when I remembered they were supposed to serve ice cream drops to the kids. When I asked about them, the staff admitted they had forgotten to bring them out. Despite this, they still planned to charge me for them.
I’ve never been so humiliated and disappointed with a service in my life. If you plan on booking a party, you may have to book it elsewhere. This is not the...
Read moreIt was my first time at a Chuck E Cheese in a long time. My daughter had a good time, it was clean, and the staff was very friendly.
However, there are a few points that could make a huge difference in overall experience, if improved. The toddler area was pretty sad. I was actually no longer feeling badly about not bringing my son when I saw it. There is almost nothing there. Any indoor playground would have significantly more to entertain and engage the littles.
There was also a pretty significant chunk of games that did not work. One or two I can understand but so many being out of order just made the place seem very run down. There was no out of order signage posted on those games either. Signs, at least, would prevent a child from getting interested in the game and then being disappointed when it doesn't work. There were a few additional games that were also not dispensing tickets and/or had missing pieces.
The food... well... I know the "horrible pizza" was the running joke amongst parents even back when I was a kid. To this day, even Little Cesars is still significantly better pizza than what is served here. It does appear that they have added more options. The party I was with got a sampler platter that included boneless chicken wings. Even that was not particularly great quality, but that is ultimately going to be a company issue rather than a location issue regarding improving the quality of food. If just one thing was changed food wise, though, I would strongly urge the company to get rid of what they are using for ice cream and just get the small, individual cups of REAL ice cream. My daughter, who normally loves ice cream, took one bite and spit it out. I tried some and completely understood her reaction. The food and drink stations were clean and hygienic, though.
Ultimately, if my daughter asks to go back, I would take her. If the issues mentioned are fixed (primarily the lack of options in the toddler area and the abundance of non functioning or malfunctioning games), I would happily and voluntarily take my children from time to time and recommend the place to others. As it currently stands, I would spring for other options where there is more to do for my son and where all or nearly all...
Read moreWe decided to give this Chuck e Cheese a try one more time today....I was yet again disappointed. The salad bar was closed so we ordered wings, pizza and 2 drinks with a coupon I had. Wings were disgusting...there was alot of fat and no meat. Pizza was ok...but for $36 I was definitely not happy with the food.
We got 20 game credits so we started using those. I left the card on the table for a minute to get my son and the card disappears! Of course I didn't keep my receipt but one of the girls (maybe the manager?) was able to give me 15 credits back on a new card. That was a plus.
We used up all our credits as quickly as possible since it was almost closing time and we get our things to leave. My biggest issue was this... As we are walking to the gate there are no employees to be found. So I end up walking right out without getting our numbers checked nor did anyone stop us as we were leaving. The whole point of Chuck e cheese is that the kids can run around and the parents have the "security" of knowing that their kids can't just walk out the door. My son is notorious for bolting. If I didn't watch him the entire time and just let him run around and play games the child could've walked right out. After experiencing that, I think that was the nail in the coffin for me. Can't say I will...
