I will continue the five star rating.
In the relatively small town of Bozeman we are fortunate to have two high quality stores serving professional level photographers and also the general public. This might be due to nationally recognized photographers based here near Yellowstone National Park and in a relatively small town environment with great airline connections. I have dealt with both and both are excellent. Bozeman Camera and Repair seems to have more used equipment at a good price while the other store is the traditional landmark type place for excellent staff and new equipment.
This high opinion of both this store and its quasi competitor might have to do the the highly regarded Film and TV department at MSU graduating a batch of well educated students every year.

Read moreStopped in today as I needed a lens to replace my broken kit lense on my Nikon 3400. I was looking for a Tamron 18mm to 400mm lense. Unfortunately they do not carry Tamron. I chated with Brian a little, explaining to him, that I was also looking for Sigma 150mm to 600mm for wildlife photography. He showed me a few few different lenses. One of which was a gently used Sigma 150mm to 500mm lense at around 1/2 the price of a new Sigma 150mm to 500mm. I was able to take some test pics as I considered the purchase..I ultimately bought the lense. Trial will tell if I made the right choice in not pursuing the 600mm lense. By purchasing the used lense I have money left for the Tamron 18mm to 400mm or a Sigma 18mm to 300mm. Anyway I left feeling satisfied with the purchase and the customer service...
Read moreI'm for Wash DC; about 4 yrs ago, attended nephew graduation; found this place by accident; stepped in; received an enormous amount of help understanding what I should buy; over the years $4-5,000 later I have my family ordering only from them; bought this years (2021) Christmas gift camera for our daughter. Each time I call, I get sincere and ample help.
