I've dealt with Home Depot throughout my lakehouse renovation. I have zero complaints about the staff and their willingness to help. In fact I love those guys and gals.
I did however encounter a ton of difficulty when dealing with them when it came to granite counter tops. The Branson, Mo store outsource this piece to Signature Granite in Neosho, MO. Dealing with Signature for the installation piece has been horrible. I ordered my granite on November 24th, 2020. My estimated installation date was Dec 24th (four weeks after my $5,000 dollar purchase) for my granite.
Signature Granite has hung up on me. They are now telling me it will be Mid January until I get my installation. I called the store to speak to manager just to simply see if there was anything they could do.
I was told that their running at least four weeks behind their normal installations due to Covid, and that the employee told me she had ordered hers granite countertops in October, and just got them installed the second week in December (That's almost eight weeks!). I'm certain that's true, and that Covid has delayed many pieces of my installation project.
Since this is the case Homedeopt owes it to their customers to extend their estimated installation date out since this is a known issue. Covid has caused hiccups in orders for close to a year now. That's fine and I understand things are out of their control.
It's would be wise to "under promise and over deliver" to their customer base. I just expected more from the store, and the subcontractors that they utilize. I'm disappointed in the run around. At this point I just need a for sure insulation date so can line up my plumbers. I still can't seem to get that after five separate phone calls (three to Signature Granite and two to...
Read moreWhen purchasing $106.90 worth of materials from Home Depot my card was declined which was a shock but the clerk said to try again so I did. Later that day when checking my bank account on my phone I saw that it posted $106.90 twice, so I called my bank to let them know what had happened and they said don’t worry about it. It will probably fall off after midnight. They will catch it well it didn’t so I called my bank and they said they couldn’t do anything about it? I would have to go to Home Depot since it had hard posted . I took a copy of the charges out of my bank from my bank and the receipt and my cell phone showing my account to Home Depot where I was told it would fall off in the next 24 hours so I called my bank to check on that and they said no after it hard posted it will not fall off , so I asked to speak to the manager and when Susan the manager came and told me that looking in there computer system, I was only charged once so they could not refund me so I put her on the phone with my bank so that my bank could explain to her that I was charged twice no matter what the computer says, and Susan decided that she would refund my money for being charged twice and told me that since I was being refunded everything that they were paid, I could no longer shop at Home Depot my card would be flagged. Way to treat a customer who came to shop in your store was charged double Was upset and took the time and the gas to drive all the way back from Kimberling city back over to your store to argue with you to the point of being upset again and being treated like I’m doing something wrong instead of calling the credit card company and finding out where the malfunction is way to go Home Depot don’t worry about flagging my card. I...
Read moreAwesome! Home Depot: Branson, Missouri, Great, intelligent and friendly experience as I shopped to fix a baby buggy wheel and needed ideas as well as products. Dave Virdogo greeted me and when I told him I'm widow of US Marine, Purple Heart Hall of Honor, he could see I needed extra help. My deceased husband and I had been rehabbing homes for 44 years so I think I am qualified to write this review on a home building store. He had confidence in solving my problem, courteous, friendly. Directed me to "just the right person" who had that particular skill.... Travis Ice. He was so helpful, and patient, which is so wonderful in customer care. And just as Dave explained Travis came up with the idea and the product needed to resolve the "Case of the Broken Baby Buggy Wheel." Betsieiiy Conlon in Customer Service helped and assisted. I walked in Home Depot thinking I'd have to throw the baby buggy away, but left, with all the hope in the world. Perhaps we can change the name from "Home" Depot to "Hope" Depot, where our hopes become a reality, not just a wish. While I was there, I felt so good, that I thought I might put a garden on my balcony and asked assistance from another attendant. I mentioned I was widow of US Marine and he also was in Marine Corp..... Thank you, Home Depot, for hiring Veterans, and wish you blessings and prosperity beyond your hopes and dreams also. Many, many homes in USA need rehabbing and you and your teams like the one in Branson, Missouri, are just the people that...
