My self and two children went for ice cream tonight. Upon arrival, one of the employees was handling cookies without gloves, which should have been the first red flag. No one acknowledged our entrance and acted as though there were no customers waiting, but a two additional families also entered after us. After a few minutes, a lady come from the back, clearly still chewing food, as remnants were coming from the corners of her mouth has she continued chewing while asking âhow can she help usâ. Before making my icecream, she grabbed a scoop from the bucket they keep them in. She very bluntly pointed out to the other employee (in disgust) that something hadnât been drained properly. She continued getting the scoop from the bucket, for the ice cream (most containers of ice cream were half full with crusted icecream around the edges, except for the more popular flavors). As she walked toward the slab to mix in my toppings, I noticed it hadnât been scraped off and there were several toppings and old ice cream from previous customer orders still left on the slab. After noticing, I specifically asked if they clean the slab after each customer/group of orders. She looked me dead in the eyes, said âhuh?â, so I asked again to which she said âyesâ. An obvious lie. I told her my daughter is highly allergic to pistachios and other tree nuts so it needs to be cleaned before hers was mixed. She said âwe never serve the pistachio ice cream anywayâ. My son then ordered his two scoops, cotton candy ice cream, in a cup, no toppings. I was at the register while he waited for her to finish is order. She brought it to the slab, still with remnants of all the old orders, and he ended up with blue and green icecream with pieces of MnMs and chocolate chips. And not to gross anyone out any furtherâŚbut the cherries in my cherry vanilla vacation resembled died blood clots. Totally unappetizing and tasted nothing like an actual cherry should. And how they received even as high as a 94 on their health inspection. Unbelievable based on what we saw behind...
Read moreI placed my order online with detailed instructions, then I got a call from the decorator who was making my order and she didnât know what the word âphrasesâ meant, so I had to explain. I had to tell her to google a picture of a CVS heart for reference, which they usually do anyway. The cake was supposed to say âWeâll Miss Youâ, and when I went to pick it up, it said âWe Weâll Miss Youâ đ¤Śââď¸ I sent it back to be fixed and they did fix it well. The cake was made on time and with the right colors. It was for a co-worker, so I didnât get to eat any, but it looked okay. This location is definitely under new management who doesnât put as much effort into appearances. The display cases arenât as impressive and there are no birthday extras to be seen. I donât think Iâll be back to this location for a cookie cake. Which is sad because before the change we would get the most impressive cookie cakes. Itâs really gone downhill, unfortunately. This team may want to look into hiring someone who is a little more experienced at cake decorating and the English language if this is going to be the...
Read moreGreat American cookie is a birthday tradition in our family. We stop by every chance we get. Sadly my last two visits were not positive. I put in a 16x24 cookie cake order with a 24 hour notice. When I arrived to pick up the order the manager said she tried to call me and tell me the decorator didnât show up for work. She did not call me. There were no missed calls nor a voicemail. She then proceeded to tell me she had not even baked my cookie. She offered a round and I said I would need two rounds to cover how many servings were needed. She then tried to tell me I would have to pay the difference. Very bad service since this wasnât my fault. She then told me she would deliver the 16x24 at 12pm the next day. Well she did. BUT she delivered a cookie so over baked the edges were not edible. She was also 20 minutes LATE delivering my order. This was such a bad experience I will be taking my business elsewhere. Last night we were in the area and decided to go to Juke n Jive across the street. It was great and had...
