First time I found out about Chreys Jewelry was walking past it one day, of course, my first thoughts were that they had to be expensive being a small family-owned business located downtown. A couple of years later, an older gentleman would talk about all the jewelry he used to buy his wife if he didn't know what to buy for her he would resort to a piece of jewelry, and she would always be happy. During that same period, my husband and I were celebrating our 10th Anniversary, he bought me a beautiful Platinum Art-Deco diamond band from a vintage-estate jewelry dealer in TX. I wore it every day for about two weeks then one day I was looking at it, and one of the small diamonds had popped out, the older gentleman suggested taking it too Cherys Jewelry, which happened to be one of the two jewelry stores he would continue buying from, so I did just that, and they were great! Replaced the diamond and platinum re-tipped all of my prong tips, cleaned it, and got it back to me within 4 days, and the price was extremely affordable. Fast forward to today, my husband and I upgraded my solitaire in my wedding band, and although purchasing my stone elsewhere, I had Chreys Jeweler change out the stones, they built an undercarriage for better security of the large stone, they cleaned, polished and appraised it, and I received it back within 2 days! The price was very reasonable, in fact, half of what I was predicting it to be. And it turned out beautifully. Chreys Jeweler has some drop-dead gorgeous pieces, and what I noticed was the price seemed comparable and in some cases better than going to a large chain jewelry store, not that I am against large chain jewelry stores, and have shopped plenty of times in them, but I feel Chreys pieces were more unique, offered a decent variety of jewelry, seems more personal plus they do work in house. They have been busy every time I have been in there and watching them interact with other customers they appeared to be friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. Chreys is located downtown Bremerton on Pacific Avenue. Within walking distance of the ferry terminal.
I know I have said this in the past with a few of my other reviews I LOVE BEING ABLE TO SUPPORT A SMALL LOCALLY OWN FAMILY BUSINESS! Stop by the store and take a peek, you never know what you may be in the market for now or later and always support a...
Read moreWandered in with a portion of our Mother's estate jewelry. Pieces that were never appraised and very little history. We couldn't identify several stones, whether pieces were real or costume and what was needing to be appraised for insurance purposes. Everyone was so helpful! Truly amazing service for someone who wasn't buying. Items identified, gem knowledge shared and advice to check with my insurance company before paying for appraisals. Not often you find such helpfulness without spending money. While I don't live here anymore, I visit several times a year, Chrey's will be my go to for all my jewelry needs. We also had several items to sell. They offered a good price. 10/10 would recommend checking out this jeweler. They had some amazing pieces on display too. I saw some earrings that are going on my wish list. Thank you Chrey's for turning a stressful situation into a laughter filled memory. Our Mother would have...
Read moreThe owner treated me like a criminal. I wanted an appraisal of my engagement ring. Sell it if they wanted it. Within 30 seconds of the lady taking my ring to the owner, he came over to me and was very rude. He blew me off, didn't even appraise it and said he didn't want it. When I asked how much it was worth(the main reason for my visit) he took a quick look and gave me an appraisal. He didn't want to offer me what it was worth and I asked where I could sell it for its value(I had already tried a couple avenues and got low balled). As I was asking for advice, he opened the door, pushed me out and yelled try, " Try Facebook Market!" And slammed the door. I have never been treated like that at...
